Which way to park or pitch ?
Whenever we all arrive on site we are without exception advised both verbally and by production of a diagram that we should park "Off side rear to the peg". Seems dead easy !!!!!! So why is it that loads of the new family (motorhomers) seem to believe that they can ignore the rule as explained and park anyway they choose, mostly nose in and to the near side of the unit. In fact opposite to the printed and verbal instructions for parking. This also means they intrude onto their neighbours privacy, why do they want to do this ?
Does one presume that the motor home fretunity are excluded from what every warden explains for parking to every arriving member be they caravaners or the New motorhomers who seem to have a new set of rules.
Perhaps the club ought to clarify as clearly even wardens don' seem to understand the rule.

I think you're a bit behind the curve on this one, W & J. It has always been accepted that units can go nose in if preferred and there is a thread running on the new site plans where the diagram and instructions make it absolutely clear that this is accepted. Nothing to do with the terrible MH fraternity.
Maybe you should be looking for alternatives since this seems yet another thing you dislike about club sites.

Don't know about other MH owners but we tend to park nose in if the pitch has a slope downwards to the site road. Our MH naturally sits nose down when on flat ground do by parking nose in on a slope we become level without the use of ramps
Of course sometimes we do it just for the hell of it and to p*ss off caravanner's

Can I, as one of the motorhome fraternity enlighten you? When we had our last MH, which had the door on the "wrong" side (yet another anomaly) we were told on arrival to either park nose in, or nose out. Now that we have "conformed" and have a UK MH, we are also told to either park nose in or nose out. Either way, it's been explained as per DD in the post above.
We have never ignored any rules about pitching, and also value our privacy. Perhaps a word with the wardens where you are now may be worthwhile?

Who says so, given that on arrival the direction is " offside to the peg" so where do you come from ?

W & J - somebody cleverer than me can doubtless do the link thingy, but just look for the thread on "new site plans". It's extremely clear and apparently you can even go nose in at Sandringham these days!

Your note about "jesting" took me back a few years to my teaching days. When a particularly awkward young lady was moved into my set I told her that my aim was to wind her up more than she could me! I think it ended about 50/50. I still see her occasionally and we have a good laugh about it all!

The wardens; we're always told either offside rear to the peg or nearside front to the peg. It matters not whether it's nose in or nose out, as long as that is adhered to. It's about keeping a 6m gap between facing walls of adjacent units.
At the risk of irritating some on here, it's so much more relaxed "over there". You can even park side on, that's a whole new concept!

I think you're asking the wrong people, W&J, since we all seem to know this. Have a word with the warden in the morning - is this still Brighton, by the way, because you could always email them now you've got wifi!

Not in my experience; I've always been told either O/S rear to the peg or N/S front to the peg. Haven't had any warden "highlight" ONLY O?S rear to the peg. Recently at Castleton, on arrival, it was just so: you can park either O/S rear to the peg or N/S front to the peg. As it happened, we went in nose first, as it suited us best for various reasons. Our choice.

The pitching instructions given to arrivals as with things in life is aimed at the majority, and those who read the the information that is available to all, which covers those in the minority who with any form of intelligence can understand, or consult with site staff if not sure
