    Hope everyone is well.

This site is so slow, it's taken me 36 hours to log in, It's ridiculously slow.

I should stay logged in otherwise Bakers car will have rusted, Huskydog will have sold his business, and Goldie's pantry will need to be painted again, and i'll be wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

That must be a weight off your mind JVB. From there it should be relatively straight forward.

The other day, I think it was DSB mentioned a beetroot and tomato soup. I rather like beetroot, so searched online and found a Jamie Oliver recipe for Beetroot and tomato borscht. So I made a batch today and very tasty it is too. Also as long as you leave out the swirl of sour cream, low fat.

The showers were very frequent today, so decided on the leisure club rather than a walk. Me for a swim OH to the gym, she does not particularly like swimming.

I hope that it starts to warm up soon, TG. We're heading up to Scotland in a couple of weeks time. Glad that you're feeling better.

It's been raining again to day so staying in has enabled us to continue with the booking our next trip. 12 sites over 9 weeks now booked and not a single deposit required. Just a couple more to do before we get home.

Enjoy your stay at Burnham OP.

Great win today M, best of luck for the final.

Nellie, I'm sure when the weather realises you are on your way it will sort itself out wink

I know we are not famous for our warm sunny weather but this is pushing it a bit far now. April/May/June I always think are the best months of the year here and the best time to tour Scotland. Where are you going on this years visit?

Thanks MH & NTH hoping for a better weekend coming.

H&T I like the idea of loaning out OH wink mine gets loaned out at times, they do come in handy at times.laughing

We're due to depart from here, Northbrook Farm CMC site tomorrow, Friday for Littlehampton CMC site for two nights and £54.80 to pay. So another hit to my Tesco Club credit card and more points!

The ground here is still very soggy and the awning carpet covered with mud. So looks like a lot of cleaning to do before packing it all away ready for our two nights away. Hopefully, we'll get a hardstanding pitch for our two nights in Littlehampton.

Day off from work again today but back to work on Friday, our moving day so it's going to be a busy day. Working Saturday and Sunday too, somSunday will be busy because of moving back here. If the weather could be kinder, that would certainly help!

So Sunday will be the day to get settled back into our seasonal pitch here at the Northbrook Farm CMC site for another 21 nights when we're once again booked for two nights at Littlehampton CMC site, at the lower cost of £27.00 this time.

When we arrive at Littlehampton, we'll have the added advantage of toilet blocks, laundry facilities etc. so will be able to get the washing done more easily. So my wife is looking forward to having the use of the facilities there, for the two nights, to get things done, in preparation for another twenty-one nights of basic facilities.

My Green Flag Mayday annual premium is now due. It's gone up from £101.00 to £103.50. It's supposed to be collected automatically from my bank account but it hasn't been collected yet.

My four weekly pay from Pizza Hut is due Friday week, five days after our return from Littlehampton CMC site, so looking forward to a most welcome boost of funds to my bank account! However, that same day, my minimum monthly payment of £135 is due to Barclaycard by direct debit plus £38 minimum payment to Tesco CC. HSBC Credit card minimum payment due two weeks later £36.19. My pay from Pizza Hut should be higher than usual because of all the extra hours that were on my rota due to other staff leaving and some being away on holiday or off sick. My State Pension is due 5 days after that. It's like the Beatles song: Obla di, obla da, life goes on!

It's the end of the tax year and my tax account is showing estimated tax of £25 yet over £200 tax paid out of my Pizza Hut pay, so it looks like there shoukd be some tax refund due to me which will also help!

I think if any tax refund is due for this financial year, it should be available to claim online after tomorrow, being the start of the new tax year, surely?

We had a bit of frost overnight, but it looks as if we are going to have a nice sunny day. Going to the get the caravan ready, for hopefully a few days between hospital appointments. Don't think we are suppose to be going away early this year between illness, weather and now hospital appointments. Have a good day everyone, hope the weather is good where you are.

Logging on was fast this morning, wonder if its slow when a lot of people are logged in.

TG's reminiscences about her Eccles Topaz brings back memories. My first van was a 1980 Topaz. Brilliant little van. So much packed into a 13ft van. Remember towing it down through France with a Mk1 petrol Sierra and struggling to hold 45mph against a headwind. It was embarrassing being overtaken by 2CV's.

I remember  back in the 1980s  towing our new heavier caravan for the first time with my new company car - a 1.3 sierra sapphire, now that was embarrassing!  embarassed

Lovely sunny morning here so I will sort out some washing and hopefully get it dry outside for a change. OH looks a lot brighter this morning thank goodness and no coughing fits last night.  He has said he wants to come with me when I go to the garden centre later so that's a good sign. Have a good day everyone and those who have the sunshine enjoy.smile

I didn't think Fish hill was that bad. Isn't it two lanes up and a max 1 in 10 with a few slow bends? Does that sound like the one?

Apologies, the 1.3 was embarrassing full stop but it was the 1.6 towing the  new caravan which struggled. Luckily my next one was the 1.8 which was much better.

Lovely sunny weather here too Millie, glad your OH is feeling a lot better, hope you enjoy your garden centre visit, all those bright spring flower displays are very cheerful just now. We have our Spring Show this week for our garden club but a lot of things are still behind.

Hope TG and spouse are on the mend too, some better weather must surely be on the way north of the border soon.

We're off to finalise our POAs today, will not linger with the solicitor as the hourly rates are eye watering!

Towing....Have been up Fish Hill many times but you need a good tow vehicle if you've got a big caravan. It's a slow old climb, similar to Telegraph Hill near Exeter.

I doubt it's done much. It's a breathable groundsheet with the water soaking through everytime you step on it. Just going into the awning is a wellies job!

Yes, we hope so too! We just hope that by the time we get back, the ground won't be so soggy, as to be forbidden from using the pitch, once again!

Snap! Weather here lovely and about to peg washing out. Managed to dry some outside yesterday too 😆 - long may it continue. Delighted to hear your OH improving,  sorry I'd forgotten about him embarassed. Hopefully turning the corner now, hope his burn finger is recovering too.

Apart from washing unsure what to do feel a bit like a kid in a sweet shop as such a choice and I can work outside 😂😉

I hope you can get it off without doing much damage M, as that might have a bearing on if the warden lets you back on. Where we live the ground is very sandy and yet everything is still soggy. Getting a heavy double axle off of grass would probably cause some damage, even here. Can you tow off in a straight line?

Or use a mover or use the warden with his small tractor?
