    So true moulesy anyway been out and got a new one in a box from sainsbury homebase, didn't know they had been taken over by a Aussie company and after seeing that winging Aussie crying yesterday I thought I would make a donation to their funds tongue-out

    Yes Yertiz, I have to wear it everytime I go to work as well as the rest of the uniform! However, despite the tight fit, it can still blow off in the wind!

    Purely out of interest Malc, who pays or who loses out if you are more than ten minutes late as it states £10 off the next order. Or is it a pointless statement on their website due to T&C's.

    They can clearly see that I'm in a win win position because I have a strategy that works!

    Its never worked in the past though has it, if it had you wouldn't be in the situation you are in now.

    What a pointless exercise that was.

    Having selected Scotland for my flight departure airport, I then spent the next  90 mins choosing which cruise, deck and cabin I would like, to get to the final selection and be told 'no flights from Scotland' yellyellyell

     No flights from my second choice either Newcastle. So basically I can fly from London or Manchester but its another £100 supplement. Guess what P&O you can stick your cruise and your website its rubbish yell

    Friends are sailing from Liverpool to Eastern Canada this year, a cruise I'd like to do, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PE Island, French Canada too.  Hope you find somewhere TG!

    Cheers brue, I will sort something for my birthday, being as we will probably not get to France this Spring. Just don't like being messed about. Lots of other ideas just need to decide.

    A lot of the debt is because I've paid annual bills like car insurance about £2000 for the two cars and seasonal pitch fees, £1910 up front but I'm getting the benefit of it by reducing monthly outgoings. I could have chosen to spread the payments over the year by direct debit but decided not to because it would cost more due to the car insurance charging extra for providing insurance on credit. Instead I paid up front and got interest free credit through my credit card plus Tesco points. I'm still spreading the payments by paying into my credit card account each month but at a lower cost. The entire debt will be cleared before the next payment is due but there will be new debt when the card is used again for next years annual payments which will again be gradually paid off over the next 12 months.

    Also I incurred the cost of the visa solicitor fees for my wife's visa application of £1400 but, if successful, it will get her a visa extension for another two and a half years so it's not a cost that is going to have to be paid every year.

    £2000 seems a lot of money for insurance on 2 cars, do you search for better deals before renewal.

    The ones that do cheaper deals don't do business insurance and exclude fast food delivery driving in their policies.

    Shop about ,both my van and car are insured for full business use and only come to £500 together, but then you always seem to at pay  dollar for everything .........

    I tried using comparethemarket.com and they had a deal through RAC of £500. So I applied online and they accepted the payment but then cancelled it before the policy even started and they didn't tell me by email but sent a letter in the post. So had I not picked up the post I woukd not have known and could have ended up driving without insurance. I need a company that's reliable but that means paying the higher premium, unfortunately. My business car insurance is through Lloyds Bank and they have never let me down plus their willingness to provide cover for fast food deliveries. The Shogun is just SDP and I've got a cheaper deal on that through esure.

    It could be that yours is cheaper, HD, because of being a different type of business where you are using the vehicles less than if delivering fast food.

    You don't say how much it costs for the Smart, but if half the total that means over 130 hours of deliveries just to pay for the insurance.😱

    £1200 for business insurance as fast food delivery driver on the Smart. So that works out to £100 per month.

    Wow, that's expensive for somebody who only works part time, for a few hours, and a large chunk out of your wages. HD posted that he is paying less  and his business hours and mileage is more than yours. Will the new car be the same?

    Add on the cost of buying and running a car ( yes I know that soon you won't pay for fuel) but I can't see how the income/expenditure figures ( including repairs) makes it worthwhile.You would probably be better off finding work in a corner shop.

    Places like the Pizza company mentioned supply (and train) scooters for deliveries which is the only financially efficient way for employees to make the best of the low wages. Using a private car is the least efficient way and probably results in a high turn over of employees who are prepared to recognise this fact when attempting to use their own cars. Other better paid jobs are available. wink

     I've copied the following from the Pizza Hut website regarding "Car delivery drivers"

    We’ll pay for your insurance for using your vehicle at work (that’s your uplifted premium taken care of)

    Now the big question - Malcolm, have you ever asked them to pay yours?

    Depends how clean is your licence and if you have made claims.
