Dry, warm and sunny at last down here on the North Cornish coast! Off to Chapel Porth shortly for a walk along the coast and back over St Agnes Beacon. Might even be time for the first "hedgehog" of the year.

Out tonight to celebrate one of the neighbour's birthday - a nice meal followed by a possibly less nice Johnny Cash tribute act! surprised

Francis, looking at the present weather forecast with snow re-appearing it doesn't look too good so I'm happy to be at home with a trip to Hillhead mid April.  I was a bit surprised to see how far the snow is reaching, I think we might just miss it here but not so good north of Bristol.

We have a weather warning for snow on Monday, surprised although I suspect it will just be rain.cry

Francis we are at home too, had a trip away couple of weeks ago in the snow!  Plan is to get away later in April, hoping its warmed up a bit by then. undecided

Bit unsure about Ayr Francis. We have been there twice before in the last 12 years and rarely visit anywhere that often (except at Christmas). I have bot been to Moffat area for probably over 25 years and so I am looking forwards to it.

We remember Ayr Craigie for the walk into town where you go past five bridges.

Bank Holiday? Maybe for banks, but not for farmers!

But OH has just sat down for half an hour (and immediately fallen asleep). Our son and family are coming across the yard for supper at our house tonight - nice and easy menu of Potted Shrimps, prawns and a seafood terrine, with homemade tomato bread.

Then we're going to practice rearranging the furniture in the sitting room for when we have our House Concert in a couple of weeks. There'll be 22 of us and I want it not to be too regimented, and a good view for everyone - with us at the front of course!

A dull and cloudy day here today with the odd shower of rain and not overly warm.  We visited a newly refurbished garden centre near us this morning and spent the garden vouchers we were kindly given for Christmas and had a cuppa and a toasted teacake.  We saw loads of people we knew which was nice including our eldest grand-daughter's child-minder who I hadn't seen for about 15 years so we had a lovely catch up.  She is a lovely girl/woman and I was always very fond of her.

We too are at home Francis and looking at the weather forecast I am not sorry.  We are forecast heavy snow for Monday which is most unusual in this area.  I hope they are wrong.  Our neighbours opposite went off in their caravan with their 8 year old son yesterday and I just hope they don't get caught in snow..

Have a good Easter everyone and keep warm.

Raining hard here and it's certainly not warm. We should have visited our son near Peterborough, for an overnighter too, today but owing to a car issue we are confined to barracks. They'll have to wait for their NZ and Easter treats - he's back next weekend for the dentist, so not too long 😉. Not doing anything constructive.

So sorry you had to cancel your visit to see your son this weekend bakers2.  How disappointing.  It is absolutely teaming with rain here now too. I am spending the afternoon sorting out piles of paperwork and working out which I need to file and which can be burned in our incinerator.

Have you discovered the Talking Pictures channel brue? There are some quite interesting old movies shown on there, plus some very interesting old public information clips as well. OH loves it. Keeps him quiet while I am immersed on GoT!

I can't get out on our right of way path, it's just a running quagmire, think we'll be having some local floods soon.

Thanks TDA will look for that channel. smile (If we've got it!?)

Miserable grey day here just matches my mood frown cough seems to be no worse today but I've now got a head cold and a sore throat. OH seems to be getting over his cough, though still has a couple of coughing fits now and again.

Done nothing much at all today other than take in 2 deliveries ordered on line, both of them damaged items so both going back yell

I've 2 big baskets of ironing to do but cannot summon the will to do it good job we have lots of clothes.  OH has more movement in his shoulder but not quite up to ironing yet.

I've mainly spent my time surfing the net looking at holiday ideas, so far on the list is a Med cruise for my birthday in May, a Norwegian fjord  cruise, or fly to France and do a Canal du Midi cruise.

At the end of the year I've spied a cruise taking in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong, OH fancies that one, neither of us has ever been to the Far East, I like sun but not keen on sticky heat and humidity so I'm thinking about it, its at the end of November so would mean we would have to come back from Spain by mid November (providing we get there this year) I'd prefer to do something warm mid January to Mid February time so will continue my search laughing

    Happy Easter everyone.

Constructive day here in East Norfolk, spent most of the day in the garden continuing to aerate the lawn, in the old fashioned way, plunging a fork into the ground.  Had to call it a day as it’s just started ☔️

Also now watching old films whilst having afternoon 🍵

I'll need to get ready for work soon. The Smart car is parked on grass next to the caravan but close to the road. I'm hoping that when it's time to leave for work, I won't get stuck in the mud after all the heavy rainfall today.

The forecast says light rain this evening here in Worthing as opposed to the heavier rain earlier. I hope they're right, otherwise I'm going to get a right soaking doing deliveries tonight!
