We've been out to Stowe Gardens , walked round in a different direction this time, walked some parts we'd done before. They must have been racing a Silverstone as we could hear the cars.

It was busy with lots of children doing the Easter Egg hunt, I asked on arrival if I qualified undecidedlaughing it looked fun.

The queues at the cafe were so long we decided it wasn't worth the wait so came home and I've just taken a batch of scones out of the oven, we can have our cream tea at home instead.wink

I have downloaded it after trying a sample. Not started reading yet.

I looked earlier on via my Kindle and only one came up with that title £15.99 😲 no mention of Richard and Judy. Went on Kindle app on my phone just now, got to be able read wherever I am 😉. Up comes the one you'e talking about 0.99p glad I held fire first thing, not up to that sort of price without thought these days 😂

It was filmed in the Lake District - Ambleside, Windermere, Near Sawrey etc. Did I miss something?

I'm sure some was filmed in NZ, but stand to be corrected. Can't find much out at the mo but this refers to filming in 40c. Not sure that's a Lake District temperature - bit warm for south Island NZ too but who can say. Company arrived so will have to return to this later 😉

An army of trucks and cameras rolled into Ambleside and Windermere as film crews took over the South Lakes at the start of April. Their arrival marked a new Columbia Pictures live action/CGI feature adaptation based on Beatrix Potter’s classic character, Peter Rabbit. Scenes for the film were shot at the Ambleside Toy Shop on Compston Road, which was adapted into Mr. McGregor’s (played by Domhnall Gleeson) Toy Shop – Peter’s (voiced by James Corden) long-time adversary. More shooting was scheduled to take place on the High Street in Windermere. An all-star cast is set to include the voices of a number of other Hollywood A-Listers, from the Aussie pair Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) and Rose Byrne (X Men: Apocalypse) to London born Daisy Ridley (Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens). The film which had been two years in development began live-action production in January 2017, with various location shoots around Sydney, Australia. These included Fox Studios, Centennial Park and Central railway station. However, shooting on location in the Lake District marks a return to the area where the iconic children’s author created many of her ‘little books’. The production is a collaboration with Animal Logic, one of the world’s most creative digital studios who boast an impressive CV of animated films including: Happy Feet and Academy Award nominee, The LEGO® Movie. Director and producer Will Gluck (Annie, Friends with Benefits), said ““I am delighted to be teaming up with Frederick Warne (Beatrix Potter’s publisher since 1902). Their expertise and stewardship is absolutely critical to making a film that honors the legacy of Beatrix Potter.”

That's one of the reasons why we never use the cafes! Much better and cheaper to take a picnic!

After waking up from my afternoon nap, I had a cup of tea and some chocolate Easter egg plus the last two slices of pizza shared with my wife, one each. I'll be leaving for work soon.

You will have to visit Tenby when you come to West Wales in the summer.

Beautiful day here today, lovely sunshine and blue skies.

Unfortunately both OH and myself have spent the day either in bed or on the loungers  in the sitting room frown really feel rough today. Not interested in food and even having to force myself to have a drink, not like us at all. Hoping tomorrow will be better.

Oh sorry to hear you'e feeling that poorly - and on a beautiful day 😲. Still grey and grey here, jolly cold air but dry. We went for a walk this morning but that's been the extent of it, would a beautiful day have made a difference? Who knows? Wish you both better after a good night's sleep.

I'm forever looking at amazon books, I've stopped using my kindle at the moment and buy cheap secondhand books. I saw amazon had got the book H&T likes for 31p but the p&p was £3 plus so the kindle version is good value.

TG hope you both feel better soon, it was our eldest daughter's birthday today and both she and her partner have been ill again with sore throats and temperatures. It's about time we all turned a corner! Where is spring...actually I could see the sloe blossom out in one of our hedges today so it must be on the way. smile

just watched the 'new' Murder on the Orient Express film. As someone who grew up with the 'old' film (and read the books) I didn't think I was going to enjoy it but it was really good, entertaining with great acting and different slants or interpretations on the characters.

Well today saw the first "race" of the summer at the sailing club.........no wind, loch was like a mirror, a le mans style start, much hilarity ensued! Was it to do with the alcohol could be but, more to do with the banter, the weather and the helpful comments from the shore.

We did see a beautiful Lapwing ion of the files near us doing his wonderful flight and song trying hard to impress his intended who was watching, hopefully in admiration. They are rare in the immediate vicinity so hope they decide to stay.

We've saw quite a few about on our last trip, but never seen one doing this!!wink

I've just got up to another rainy morning.

Yesterday was busy at work so I finished 15 minutes late. My wife went to the Railway pub for the Sunday karaoke whilst I was at work so we were able to commute there and back together.

This evening, I'll be working 16:30 to 21:00 and then 3 days off.

There are plenty of daffodils. I see them on every roundabout whilst doing my deliveries. They're lovely to see! They are surely an early sign of Spring. Primroses too! It's so much nicer driving to do deliveries in daylight. You get to see so much more. The first two and a half hours of my yesterdays shift was in daylight but it was back to using the head torch for the last hour and a half!
