Weekenders spoil it yet again

I am not quite sure who is joking here...... Its the same with Bank holiday weekends, people always want a holiday, most selfish and and unreasonable of them. I must have a word with my boss and tell him due to Caravan club member complaints I will have to take my weekends on other days...... I am sure he will be happy to accommodate my request.

Sorry to disagree, but if that's the only time they can get away then what choice do they have ?

What have they spoilt?

Here's another take on it. We are both retired and don't work but nearly all of our trips are Thursday or Friday till either Monday or Tuesday, so over a weekend.
Why? because we have my house bound 93 year old Mother in law living with us so have to rely on my Son and his Wife to take over her care so we can have a break.

Come off it, Banff, you've been around long enough to know all the arguments. Book earlier or live with it.

Well youl will just have to walk the dog instead.

Agree with all above, due to the popularity of club sites (can't think why reading some stuff on here) you have to book early, just like those people did.
I hate it when my favourite fresh pizza is sold out at Sainbury's when I turn up late in the evening
So Banff, assuming you are not just posting to create disharmony or it's not a joke, what do you want done? and what do you suggest?

your dog lost a nose? how does it smell?

You are right it's got to stop .......please stop this type of nonsense posting .
Weekends are there to be booked & used by all members ......come booking day in December for next you'll be well p*ssed off .....then.

Regarding weekend bookings, my wife and I both worked hard for almost 50 years. When we took a break we had to do the same as the OP is complaining about. We are now retired and come and go when we chose. Get used to it because we plan to carry on doing it for a good while yet!

I can see the OPs point of view having had problems booking a complete week before. What I now do Is decide when we’re likely to want a break and book it. We then decide afterwards if we’re likely to go or not and, if not, we cancel it beforehand.
- For the record we’re currently on a “honeypot” site that shows “full” on the website. It has never been full in reality and it’s always worth ringing the site for availability. We were once told by a warden that the website will always show site full unless there are at least two pitches free so it’s always worth a call.

WTG, as members of a club I’m sure you'll agree that we should all be treated equally without special concessions made for some groups because what advantages some inevitably disadvantages others.
As it is, we are all given the same opportunities and treated equally and, on that basis, if I can’t book the site I want for the date I want, I know it’s just hard luck and somebody else will be enjoying that slot. That somebody being one of my fellow members who got the booking by fair means without special treatment.
