Well at least I got to see Andy Murray get through the first round, no surprises there! However, frustratingly, the match lacked continuity because of rain stopping play twice before it was all over.
It was necessary to shut the front blinds because the daylight from outside reflects on the tv screen!
We'll have the benefit of an earlier evening meal tonight and there'll still be daylight then!
Yesterday because it went quiet after 8 p.m., they offered to let me go home early, so I had a nice drive home in a lovely sunset as it was a bright sunny evening.

Most of the deliveries are to houses, so not much walking to do there. Also some blocks of flats have lifts in which case I use the lift rather than the stairs. Some do not and then I do have to climb a few flights of stairs.
The pizza pouches have a heavy metal hotplate built into them to keep the food hot and sometimes I have to carry two to three at a time, so there is some heavy lifting involved in that, especially as I have to balance this in one hand whilst opening the car with the other hand.
Sometimes customers order a huge amount because of having a party with lots of guests. I recall, on one occasion, having to deliver £60 worth of pizzas to one customer and that was three huge bagfulls, plus drinks and desserts as well!

Hope you have a great time Triky. Plenty of R&R

We've been told that they will work round us - i.e working between milkings. It's all new pipework, feeders and electronics (and computer and I don't know what else!). When we installed the current parlour it took longer as we extended the pit and raised the loft - so we set up some temporary cubicles in an adjacent building and somehow managed to still run the engine and pump.
I'm still not sure how it will work out, but we have faith in the fitters.

Well it was certainly back to work with a bump today, paperwork all over the desk! Hundreds of emails to answer, sometimes I wonder if it's worth going away!
OH took his walking boots back to cotswold outdoor this morning, he had a wet foot while we were away. Only bought them end of last year. No problems changing them though. He decided to upgrade and pay the difference, not too bad with the CC discount
He bought me a present, one of the folding rotary driers!!
Off to our local pub tonight, catch up with all the gossip while we've been away.

Another day in the garden, weather been good again bit windy at times but still a good day to be outside. tidy up gardening now complete, real gardening still to be done, I have a few plants I want to clear out altogether, a few bushes that need a good cut back. Then its out and about looking at garden centres for new bushes Bike ride when finished gardening, sun still making an appearance even now its a lovely night.
Unfortunately we will no longer be going away tomorrow OH has now to attend a funeral, one of his Army mates died at the weekend of throat cancer. Quite a shock as very few knew he was ill, 5 weeks from diagnosis to dying.

So sorry to hear that Tammygirl.

Despite my earlier humorous { ?? } comments, Goldie, I have no doubt that the fitters have long been doing such work on working farms and keeping them 'on line' despite the complexities & will only require the occasional brew to keep themselves & you functioning happily

Here in Cornwall at the moment, having moved our daughter from Halls of Residence at the end of here first year at Falmouth University, to student accommodation for year 2. It's hardly luxury living, but manageable for another 12 months.
We're absolutely tired out, but I've used the Cadac 3 times since arriving on Friday. We're off home on Wenesday, so a quiet day tomorrow and we'll take down the awning ready for an early start on Wednesday.

You do seem addicted to the Island, Triky or is it the "voyage" that makes it special?

Lovely sunny morning here in Worthing and reasonably cool. We plan to go to WWT Arundel today as we have not used the Shogun for a while,so will give it a run there today to keep the battery charged. We'll be taking a picnic lunch with us as there's a nice picnic area there, except it's not shaded so I guess we'll just have to hope that the sun's not too hot!
We also plan to visit the NT Petworth House and Gardens so we might go there first and then on to WWT Arundel in which case we could have our picnic lunch at Petworth House instead. The picnic area there is shaded which would be more comfortable.

That's not so good, Goldie. Perhaps that means a day indoors for you. You could always watch Wimbledon on the tv or the Tour de France!

I may be able to stay inside - but the fields and the stock are outside, so the workers (son and husband) are outside whatever the weather.
There's ever present paperwork to do. And dinner (aka lunch down south) to make - Beef and Lentil Chilli.
We'll be watching the Tour de France Highlights later tonight. It's a long flat stage today so we can get the gist of it in the highlights.
And if I've time I'll start my new book - Conclave by Robert Harris. Has anyone read it yet?
Meanwhile two dairy engineers are opening and checking all the boxes that came yesterday and staring to assemble some of the pipework. The computer and peripherals are safe in the house.

Dull and wet here today so instead of working outside it will be the ironing that gets tackled today. OH has already started his while I am going to catch up with some other things before tackling mine.
Ferry booked and paid, for September trip. Plymouth - Roscoff this time as we fancy doing Brittany for a few weeks.
Have a good trip Triky
BB sounds like your having fun working on your SIL van
OH's car went in for MOT and service yesterday, got the dreaded phone call, its very poorly going to cost him this months pocket money that's for sure
Have to go I'm getting glared at.

Overcast, but still tee shirt warm here. Still on the daily trek to hospital couple of times a day, but hoping to get out into garden later. We have family round for "birthday tea in the garden" this weekend, so just hoping things stay dry. Still lots of nice plants to hit their peak at the moment, phlox, lilies and cleome coming into their own now.......every day in a garden is a magical voyage of discovery! One day I shall do a planting plan!

Any sharp intakes of breath yet from the dairy engineers Goldie.

Hope things improve soon TDA, gardens are a great antidote to the stresses of life.
Speaking of gardens, OH and daughter's boyfriend have mysteriously vanished to a Dorset scrapyard, I'm left with the spare terrier and all work in the garden seems to have stopped. So I'm taking a break too, spare terrier is resting....

Aw, lovely little chap! Our two are flaked out as well. We are just watching Tour live, but I shall have to stir myself at some point. Not sure if Dad is coming home today, so sitting on phone, waiting and wondering!
