Well done moulesy and team. At least putting the trophy back in the cabinet means you won't have to clean it.

[Deleted User User] has also found a problem with the site at the moment, visible on latest activities but not on here! Not good.
Nice to hear you enjoyed your break Millie, I made some Houghton Mill scones the other day,I like their recipe. Hope you find a suitable replacement awning.

Another really hardworking day in mum's garden and hubby finished painting the front porch. She's very pleased reckon the whole house looks better for the porch spruce up. Hubby reckons more outdoor painting could be done but it'll do for now, he may tackle it later in the year. I spent 3 hours on sorting an extremely old budleia and roses. One was a cutting that came from my mums childhood home a minimum of 50 years ago and the original is long gone under extensions. It's a nasty ungrateful brute and I am covered in scratches and digs from it. No wonder i got rid roses when our children were small. I have allowed two ramblers back in since, in the uninteresting tree, they make it interesting 😉. Mum helped by cutting up all the removed dead bits and pruning. it took her the same amount of time and then I joined in and then hubby, it certainly had a good prune. Her garden is rather wild these days so you have to really be opposite the bit to see its been done, unlike all the other gardening we have done in the last four days.
Glorious here again today but wind a little stonger, one load of washing out, another just finishing and bedding to go in, should all smell lovely later today. Got to tackle our house today as we are doing something, undecided at this point, all day tomorrow to celebrate 40 years of being a couple! Seems like yesterday 😃.
Enjoy your day folks.
Granddaughter playing with balloon and her dad. Dad accidently pops balloon granddaughter heard to say, you popped my balloon daddy that's so disrespectful. Just 3 years old. Out if the mouths of babes! What makes you think mummy's a teacher??

Thanks for the offer JVB but we sold our big Bradcott awning a few years ago as we decided that it was too big and heavy for us to handle anymore. It was fine when we were in France for 6 weeks but not really for shorter trips. We bought a lightweight awning and will probably replace it with the same. Cheap and cheerful that's us. We sold our Bradcott awning via CC classifieds section. We had quite a bit of interest as well. Might be an idea if you are looking to sell your Ventura Isabella awning.

Not much on today. Taking it easy after polishing car and caravan yesterday. Polishing the car was not too bad but polishing the caravan it felt like somebody was taking a cheese grater to my spine. Probably because it involved polishing above shoulder height. Maybe next time I should use one of my taller step ladders and reach down rather than up. You would have thought that I would have worked that out before
After making dinner yesterday I had a scotch and went for a lie down around 9pm. Woke up up around 10.30pm, took 120mg Ibuprofen, tied a gammon joint and put into soak overnight. Sat in my office chair watching some youtube videos with two more scotches until midnight. Feeling better.

Beautiful day here, just back from a trip over to Dundee. The trike needs a service before we go away and there isn't a garage in Perth that can do it. The drive over the hills this morning was lovely, the sun shining and very clear skies. The hills in the distance still have snow on them and they were all glinting in the sun. daffodils abound along the roadsides, what a lovely start to the day.
Back home and a quick cuppa, catch up on CT while drinking it and then into the garden for the final (I hope) assault on the last border/bed. This one is full of bushes so shouldn't need to much weeding or tidying, just a general going over.
OH busy doing a few mods to the trike trailer, I keep coming up with ideas and he has to work out how to do it keeps him out of trouble.
Cold wind from the North today but in the sun its fine, only about 15c but fleece on and I'm off.

So glad you are feeling better, ET but was that due to the Ibuprofen, the videos, the comfort of a personal office chair, or was it a glass ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,
Whatever it was I hope you are feeling at least as well as Yours Truly 'cos I also had a productive day -- washing, drying, ironing, stowing away & even time for watching a bit of the Golf which I do like but never, ever played !!
And now in S Cheshire it's a grey day and at least a woolly pulley cooler with a rather crisp breeze -- Hot soup time I reckon !
P.S. / Edit
Wonder if Goldie & co have another 'New Addition' but for the silverware display cabinet this time ?? ( Perhaps from a Craft Competition -- Blanket Stitch on a cow or some such ?? )

Having been really busy on housework including floor washing. I'm eating lunch in the garden, bit fresh 😲 compared to yesterday especially when the sun hides! Wearing a fleece 😀 Four loads of washing dried so it's not all bad 😉. Having a catch up on here before putting all the stuff back in the conservatory and bathroom, thank the Lord for fitted kitchens. I'll get the washing in and sorted mostly folding 😉 and put duvet cover on, for some reason I left the room before I'd finished completely remaking the bed 😯😲. Then I can start on the cooking of the roast dinner we didn't have yesterday as too tired to prepare it 😂😂. Who said retirement was easy??

Thanks millie and bakers2. It was quite a turn up for the books as we were the bottom ranked team (out of 7!) so a bit of giant killing going on and unlikely to be repeated next year!
Millie - I'll pass the last part of your post onto Mrs M - it'll be a relief to her!!

What a lovely day yesterday in Stamford. Lunch at the George of Stamford. Not the George "at"Stamford but "of". And yes it was expensive but worth it. A grand walk around the town to burn off a few calories and splendid warm sunshine to boot.😀

Glad you a lovely day. I don't remember wishing you many happy returns so please accept these belated ones. It's great to be able to spend, in both senses, time with the family. It's precious and should be enjoyed whenever possible.

Not a bad day today, a dull start but sunny later, at least it stayed dry.
DD came up after lunch for a couple of hours, which was nice, we had a good chat and lots of hugs.
Laid out some clothes to pack tomorrow, and packed all the stuff OH had laid out yesterday. Just the food to sort now.
Will take the car to wash and fill with fuel tomorrow first thing at ASDA, OH has a few things to do too, then we will finish the packing.
Will be glad of a holiday after all that!

Have a wonderful trip Kj. It sounds as though you have earned it. Keep us posted when you can.
We have been to see Georgie Fame accompanied by his 2 very talented sons at our local theatre this evening. We have always been great fans of Georgie Fame and saw him at Ronnie Scotts some years ago. He is as good as ever. Wonderful evening.

We have used the Southport site for the last 7 Christmas breaks purely because it is convenient at that time of year when we go away for a couple of weeks rather than sit at home. It means that we are more active than if at home at that time.
We thought that we would visit in the warmer weather for a change.

That's a nice line up of sites ET. Have you ever used Yellowcraig? This is a really lovely site, and easy to get into Edinburgh as well. Have a nice trip

We were up at Yellowcraig about 3 years ago. A nice site but we did not see as much of the area as we would have liked as OH had managed to twist her knee the day before we moved on to there. We stayed 5 nights and by the last day she was more mobile again.

We drove down to the sea front using the Smart car and parked near the border between Goring by sea and Ferring. It was a lovely sunny afternoon, so we went for a walk along the path next to the beach where there are open views across agricultural land towards Highdown Hill. The tide was out. We walked up to the Plantation at Goring gap and then back again and sat on the bench by the sea for a while.
Next we went to B&Q in Lyons way business park, Worthing, to buy a wrench for changing over the propane gas bottle. When we got back, we found that the wrench was the wrong size, so didn't fit! So we'll have to take it back and change it for a larger sized wrench.
