We left Alderstead Heath CMC site at 08:45 and got to the surgery in Worthing at 10:00. I had a blood test done followed by ECG. The ECG result was good, no problem found there, thank goodness. Much relieved to know that!

After that we went to the Tesco Esso pfs to refuel the Smart Car at a cost of £21.58 to fill the tank. So we now have a full tank ready for when we start work at 12 noon. It's 11:17 now so not long to go. The morning seems to have gone quickly!

As long as the boss agrees to let us go at 18:00 as arranged, we should be able to get back home to our caravan by 19:30 for our evening meal.

We're parked on Broadwater Green at the moment. It has stopped raining and less heavy clouds in the sky. No orders so far. There are lots of different coloured flowers showing next to where we are parked, on the edge of the green. Must go now, first order has just come.

We're at Liverpool Terrace awaiting collection of a Macdonalds order at the moment. It looks like there's some kind of ceremony going on in the garden next to where I'm parked, people dressed up and waving banners.

Malcolm good news on the ECG hope the blood results are good too.

I hope you finish at 6pm tonight, just tell him you are 😉.  Better a well and rested driver than no driver at all 😃. Don't forget your health in of this.

Am I alone in suspecting a connexion between having a KFC meal delivered (OMG, delivered? !) and the obesity epidemic........ ?

I have never been tempted to indulge in KFC's so-called food but if you're short of interesting comments to post on here, MM, maybe you could entertain us by producing a report on the ages and physical size of your customers ;-)

It's for a Gig at a small but brilliant village hall at Ellel (just south of Lancaster.

And for those in the know - it's Phil Beer of Show of Hands.

Had  a  reasonable  stroll  into the  "Village"  for  the  annual  retinopathy &  Eye  Checks.  Delighted  to  hear  the  Lady  Optician  say  Very  Very  little  change  in   my  eyes,  So  the  change  in  frames  is  purely  a  Vanity  Job  embarassed   Retinopathy  seems  ok  at  first  glance,  but  the  piccies  need  to  go  under  the  Experts  Microscope  to  be  sure.

All  in  all  it  seemed a  good  morning  until  I  left  the  shop  to  walk  home  -  absolutely  'ammering  down.  Fed  the  Neighbours  Homing  Pigeons  'cos  he's  in  Belgium  for  some  running  race  ( I  keep  telling  him  to  take  his  motorbike  its  much  quicker  !! )

Walked from our village into the next town to catch a bus into Hull, only to find the road closed. Some guy hijacked a car after aiming a gun through the windscreen but the local binmen jumped on him and wrestled him to the ground. Police arrested him but apparently 3 more armed hijackings in Hull at the same time surprised

We wondered if it was some devious plan to take up police resources and something bigger in the offing undecided

    NEWS HERE

City of Culture eh! wink obviously from out of town innocent

After completing the last two KFC orders, there were no more, so we treated ourselves to a Subway meal deal. I had a Meatball Marinara in a flatbread because they had run out of other breads, so it was the only one left available. This was accompanied by cheese, tomato, red onions, peppers, black olives,  jalapeno peppers, salsa and hot chilli sauce plus a Cappucino all for £3.50, another hit on my credit card! My wife didn't order anything as her mouth is still recovering from yesterday's dental treatment!

After that we went shopping at the Tesco Extra in Durrington where we bought two bags full of groceries, some of which was at reduced discounted price even cheaper than Lidl. We found a litre of Bells Whisky there for £15, £4 off the normal price of £19 and I bought some mixers to go with it including ginger ale and soda. So total bill came to just over £45. We have the cool box plugged into the car 12 volt to keep the chilled foods fresh including a six pint carton of milk.

So including the fuel purchased earlier, I think that's about two days wages spent in just one day!

I guess being a delivery driver siting in a car all the time doesn't do much for waistlines or health. The person running around collecting and delivering is probably fitter. Unless you do both jobs?! wink

In theory, yes but in practice, I seem to have lost weight recently. Whilst at Tesco I went to Timpsons there to have two extra holes punched into my belt so that I can tighten my belt more as it was too loose. My wife insists that she is putting on weight but it doesn't look like it to me! Like you say, shes does too much running around for that!

Have a great few days with the family brue.

Its been a wet, cold and miserable day here. Took our 2 cats to the vets today for a weight check and check up after their illnesses during the winter.  Both now fine and we were told that Charlie (our male cat) is now verging on being over weight.  Considering he was at death's door and extremely thin a few months ago that was really good news. Millie (the real Millie smile) still has a way to go to get up to her ideal weight but she is fit and well. We were only charged for the medication and not for the consultation which was more good news. My cousin who lives in Bournemouth then rang for a chat after we got home, it was so lovely to have a catch up with her.smile

Been very wet here too, managed to get all the ironing done, a job I really dislike.

Meeting up with a friend tonight, bit of a catch up and hopefully going to motivate each other to get back to the gym.innocent

After an early start 4am, we arrived in lovely sunny Lanzarote. This time we flew with Jet2  have to say good flight, breakfast on the flight was very nice and the crew  was lovely. Would certainly fly with them again. Yesterday was 25c with just a gentle breeze, today sunny but not as warm as the breeze was much stronger, so we took the car out for a drive and picked up some food shopping. This week is Carnaval  time for Puerto Del Carmen, Saturday is the main parade so it's going to be busy everywhere, might eat in tomorrow night.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Good news milliehull glad the cats recovering. Nice surprise regarding the cost.

Helenandtrevor wish you lived nearer could do with someone to inspire me and get me kick started.

Tackled the unit in the dining room, two cupboards and 4 drawers 1 cupboard to go but it really has a great assortment of things old floppy discs cameras envelopes bottle of spirit etc. Visit to friends this afternoon for cuppa and catch up which was lovely. Hubby mended one fence panel just want it to dry out a bit so I can coat both sides before its reinserted,  thank goodness for shrubs 😃 2 more to go thanks to the wind the other day, not even a storm 😉.  Wet morning but dry if grey afternoon. Forecast for us looks dry tomorrow so action stations,  Sunday not looking so good 😢

Was it really necessary to include the temperature and weather conditions? 😉
