Although it's early days, Silva does seem to be having an impact on Hull City.  First time they have come away from Old Trafford with a point since 1925 - and after their win over Man U in the Cup (although not enough to go through).  Let's hope this is the beginning of their escape from the relegation zone.

Town did a good job with a brilliant win against the leaders. This will make for a good game on Sunday, you know what we play like on Sundays.yellyell

I've been supporting Town for 60 years and the football they're playing this season has been the best I've ever seen them play. Last night was the best I've seen them this season so far. The first half was amazing. I went down to the match expecting at best a draw but the best defence in the Championship had no answer. If we can replicate that form on Sunday, and I don't think we could play better, it should be a terrific local derby.UTT⚽️

Pliers I think even Man City would have had a handful with us on that form.

    Great win for The Tigers!

My team, Man City, won at home with a very late goal in Fergie time, don't they put you through it 😱

Sounds like the Town / Leeds game was, errr, eventful, our 'vanning friends from West Yorkshire will hopefully give us some 1st hand info!

Hi Steve , I think Town just shaded it with the second half performance. The first half was very even and you could see Leeds had come with a game plan to stop us playing  our normal game but as I said to my grandson at half time I don't think they'll be able to keep up that level of play. Rob Green made three very good saves which IMHO kept you in the game. Shame about the handbags at the end our manager shouldn't have been out of his area but I've seen video footage which shows clearly that Mr Monk barged him as he jogged back down the touch line .UTT😀

Well, well AB four up inside half an hour! Is this the new manager bounce?

Another good win for the Terriers. It's the first time they've won at Loftus Road ever in a league match, and Ian Holloway predicted them to be relegated at the start of the season😡

Oneputt .Good to see the Canaries on a roll, I hope they push our noisy neighbours out of the playoffs.

Pliers. I've got a ticket for the cup tie next Saturday, if you want to meet up before the match that would be nice. We can arrange details later as long as it's well before kickoff. Looking forward to a good game and hoping City allow Aaron Mooy to play. But first there's the small matter of Rotherham away on Tuesday.

Pauline, the flutter of hope seems to have disappeared for now, I hope that Forest can sort themselves out you're too big a club to be in this state.

Once again Glasgow Celtic are so far ahead in the silverware competitions that it is a forgone conclusion who will win when any other team is playing against them.  They are totally invincible.

This time last year! Oh my goodness- it would appear that 1 year is a long time in football. It was nice while it lasted though. I will never forget the celebrations at the King Power Stadium. At least I saw it- my dad never did- loyal LCFC supporter for years- he saw some good times but nothing like last year. I wish all your teams well.

Yes, a great cup match at Town. Enjoyed meeting up with friends I'd worked with at what was the ICI plant before, and after the game, in the wonderful Head of Steam.

And tonight, Good Heavens, 5 -3, what a fantastic game! Probably be a no score draw in the 2nd leg, yes please!

Will try to add a couple of photos from the Town game. 😊😊😊

A number of Town players had to have treatment for shock last night. Why? Because the referee gave us a penalty! Apart from one in the Cup at Rochdale, that's the first penalty this season in 30+ games. It was such a shock that it was missed ( actually a good save by the keeper). Still a good three points against a top six side. On to Barnsley on Saturday then the replay against City next week .

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to little old Huddersfield Pliers. Personally I wouldn't go near the Head of Steam on a match day. I understand there was quite a bit of trouble in town before and after the match between idiots from both clubs.

    Rog.

Don't worry Rog although United seemed to steady the ship i think you have the advantage. Barnsley beat us when an easy win should have been on the cards. It's hard to put the team down where you live to support the one where you were born. but Leeds go marching. on.

I'm not worried Steve, I'm just puzzled as to how Barnsley managed to hang on for the draw. It'll be a long time until their keeper plays as well as that again and we must have had three or four good chances cleared off the line. Onwards and upwards to the Etihad on Wednesday then it's the Toon next Saturday. It's all go. UTT
