    I remember when our milk was brought round  in churns on a pony and trap and was ladled into jugs that  my mum and neighbours  came to milkman withSurprised

    And baker came to the door with wicker basket loaded with loaves and buns,from his vanSmile

    I remember when you could order milk, bread and eggs through the milkman. They would be left on your front doorstep ready for you to collect as soon as you got up.

    We had a wonderful music teacher who sometimes thundered out "Brother James Air" on a grand piano as we walked in. After that the lists of who had to see the headmaster were read out! Wink
