    I  remember  seeing  a  film  about  skool kids  in  Japan  using  the  Abacus Surprised   !  They  didnot  have  calculators  either Wink

    I remember earth closets which had to emptied by the night soil men. The captain of our bell ringing team drove the night soil lorry, a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet.

    I remember when cinemas had only one screen. We drove past a cinema today and I asked my GS how many screens there were, he told me 8!!

    Yes and with usherettes walking down the aisles selling ice-cream in the intermission.Smile

    In those days you sometimes got two films, an A and a B film. Today we just get lots of B films.Undecided

    I remember it well. I also remember the usherettes showing you to your seat with a torch. That cinema building in Worthing facing the sea front is still there. It's outside appearance hasn't changed since I was a child!
