The Caravan Club is coming to Facebook

I think the staff will be more engaged with FB, responses are easy and immediate, we'll be left to our own devices as usual....
...Is it not the same with anything that is being "promoted"it is at first ok until it gets boring by management

Given the Luddite IT tendencies of the majority of the membership based on the involvement on CT, how many are going to engage with CC on Faceache? Vey few I would guess. The extremely short lead in time to the actual prize makes it virtually worthless to
the majority as well.Well as the contest has been viewed 43,700 times I think we can say that guess was wrong.
So about one in ten of membership viewed it. How many entered?

Just been onto Facebook and typed The Caravan Club in search and returned two. The Caravan Club and The Caravan Club UK . Both show the flag logo but only the latter seems to be the Clubs recently launched one. Are they related? Has anyone else found two? Very confusing.
Moderator Edit:
The Caravan Club UK is the official one.

That's OK - they don't bother doing either.

The latest Ask The Expert session seems a little too much of a coincidence.

To be honest, I wasn't sure how to take criadon's post. I thought it was tongue in cheek so I responded in a similar vein.
Looking again this morning I am now not so sure so here is the less flippant answer.
There is no discrimination to members (AFAIK) who do not use CT. No special offers, no extra competions and no special treatment. If they were I would offer exactly the same argument that I have against the club's use of Facebook. We all pay the same so
we should all be treated the same. It's entirely up to the individual if they wish to participate in FB or not, it's the club discriminating against those who choose not to that I am banging on about.
Apols to cariadon for my naughty answer if I did miss read his post yesterday.
I did think your first answer was very selfish as I know of many who do not have internet access or even a fast broadband, and not even a local library or even have the know how to use a computer, so be thankful that you have the facilities and know how
to use this forum.0 -
Hello, I use Facebook a lot and have just liked the page. Can we not ask a question or start a post on the page though? I find it easy to chat on Facebook and a good form of communication also a good business tool, I like to use it for advice along with the forum here and and blogs on the internet but noticed I can't start a new post on the new CC page? Thanks.

Must admit, i find it frustrating also when companies use facebook or twitter or the likes of competitions, there for rendering those who dont use these platforms through choice or any other reason inelegible.
I understand the need for them to have facebook accounts as they need to keep up with the current trends and have no problem with it, how ever it would be a lot better received by all if competitions and the likes were run on both a club website and facebook so there is the choice and chance for all to enter.

VINs for caravans didn't come in until 1992 and Swift were producing a model called the Silhouette at least as far back as the mid 80's.

That was the five berth. I rather liked the 4 berth Corvette. The chassis were aluminium.
