Being serious now, I just could not be bothered with Twitface (Twitter and Facebook) at all but I know plenty who seem to run their lives around them.

Interesting that you can't link to personal websites? Problem is that if I post on Facebook a picture from my website it automatically shows the website URL  Could be an unsuspecting problem for some.

    and the demise of CT?

Or will CT become an exclusive club for those who don't do FB.

I'm still trying to find out what a timeline is. Embarassed

Given how long it is taking for the new forum to materialise, it would tend to suggest that the CC are exploring other avenues. If this is the case, I for one will not be bowing out, as I have no intention of letting Facebook anywhere near any of my  IT
    devices.

That thought struck me as well. I've seen a number of examples of Facebook being a cop-out for people who are not capable of doing a proper job of running their own forum (or don't want to put the effort in).

The annoying thing about it is that they consequently force those who wish/need (for whatever reason) to receive the content concerned to share their personal data with a company they would otherwise reject.

Well now the CC have facebook, instagram, apps and twitter accounts most angles are covered, a lot of admin work too and I hope they can keep up with it all! Wink I
don't do facebook but OH is part of a closed interest group for fishing, hasn't stopped constant contacts from facebook, a bit annoying.

Facebook participation is what you make it. You don't have to disclose naything you don't want to. I'm a member of two closed groups, and two secret groups, as well as following a number of bands.

And we use Twitter (among other things) to promote farming, especially dairy farming.

One positive about FB is that it takes seconds to post photos unlike some forums we could mention. You never know the Club may get its act into gear one day over this issue.

    Hi everyone,

I’d like to address the concerns that Facebook will be a replacement for CT, this is not the case! Facebook is another channel to offer you more choice in how you connect with The Club. If you have any questions as to how Facebook works or how you can get
involved, please let me know Smile

As for the questions already asked, a timeline is the news thread on the Facebook page. To enter the competition you need to find the Club Together post in the timeline, and comment with #sitenightvoucher.

Unfortunatley Briang, this competition is only on Facebook.
