ACSI App (Android version)
Is anyone else having problems with this?
It won't open at all on my Hudl2. It opens fine on my Google Nexus Phone but doesn't show any sites when I apply the ;period of stay' filter.
And yes, I've don't all the usual things like turning off and on and uninstallking and reinstalling./
I'm going to email their helpline but wondered if anyone else was having problems.

Val is refering to the ACSI Card App and what she says is correct. You can only use it for dates up to the end of Jan 2017. For dates after that you need to buy the 2017 card and App. If you are refering to the Campsite App then that should still work.

ok think I now understand and I think to apply 2017 filters you will have to buy the 2017 data base. I am still using a 2014 database of France but I have never used the period filters but just use it to find sites.

PS just checked and I can only enter 2014 dates.

It won't open at all on my Hudl2.YES! Since the latest app update I am getting the classic "unfortunately ACSI Europe has stopped" on the HUDL2 (Lollipop). All the usual (uninstall/clear system cache/reinstall etc) tried. No problems at all with the updated version on my unbranded Chinese cheapo.(KitKat).
(Note: this is with the app which covers all ACSI inspected sites where you buy each country separately ..... not the card app which you can only buy access to if you have the current Camping Card)

I hadn't realised there WERE two! Nor did I realise how the time limit worked on the app.
All is becoming clear...
except for why it doesn't work on the Hudl. EMailed them this morning but no reply as yet. Incidently my phone is a Nexus 5x so is running Nougat 7, ( possibly 7.1 as it's just done an update!)

I note that the Google Playstore is now showing both ACSI apps as incompatible with Hudl2. Also, because Playstore now ONLY displays apps which ARE compatible with the device you are using, in order to find out the about the incompatibility you have to
search from another device (such as a laptop).Hopefully ACSI are fixing this.

If you want it for planning and contact details have you considered Archies Camping App it has around 35000 sites on it and costs about £2.20
Agree. Archies often shows the really nice small sites missed by the mainstream guides. I find the app much more convenient than just using the (free) POI's, and well worth the cost.
