Today the house has gone quiet. Our visitors have gone (for now) and I'm no longer feeding nine or eleven (depending on who was "passing by"), but two of us plus one worker. The mountains of food I made has dwindled, and it all seemed to go down well. Especially this Game Terrine, Hopefully the photo uploading will work.I'm now going to sit outside and catch up on some reading.

Meanwhile on the farm; a few big bales last night, field ploughed for reseeding, and some bull calves sold to a local farm shop (for rearing).

Really hot here today, in fact too hot!  Have spent most of the afternoon up my ladder painting the metal balcony rail supports, only 2 left to do once I can move the caravan out of the way.  At the moment the jockey wheel assembly etc is lying on the ground
in bits, so van cannot be moved.

However things are now looking more hopeful on the holiday front as our dealer rang first thing to say they had been rummaging through their box of "AlKo bits" and found 2 bolts and nuts and a jockey wheel pressure pad which they reckoned should fit our
van.  They e mailed photos and measurements, and they do indeed fit.

OH was dispatched across town to collect the bits and also get a new clamping handle, but they did not have one of those left.  Have ordered one from AlKo, surprisingly they had the best price, so now just have to wait til it arrives before I can start the
repair.  Still 19 days till we should set out, so that will surely be enough time.

well, its really too cold here K! but maybe I've been spoilt with 34+C every day for the past 16 days! A 'proper' holiday where the only thing to decide is when to have another drink or cool off in the pool. I must say that all inclusive (alcoholic) drinks is a fantastic invention equal to a motor mover.

Been for x- rays and scan on a gammy knee. I was lucky and got a cancellation. Off to Ferry Meadows with the grandson when he gets back from West Ayton. I swear that child lives in a caravan most of the summer holidays.

After having to get a new battery yesterday, my poor little car is now parked up, awaiting new fuel pipe Sad thought I could smell petrol,
pipe had rusted through. They say things come in three's I hope not!! Frown Off to Cirencester this weekend, just hoping nothing else happens now
    before we go.

We found our previous collies dog bed in the garage when clearing it out, it was in good condition so dropped it off at the Blue Cross Charity shop, before work, hopefully another dog will enjoy the bed. Smile

It's been really hot this afternoon. No luck so far in getting them to come out to fix the aircon. So spent most of the afternoon sitting outside in the relaxer under the tree eating icecream and having chilled Coke on ice.
