Tell that to those who complain about the influx of those who spend money in the county, there are many other areas of concern as to the future

A report I read from Cornwall yesterday said they will not know for at least two weeks if there was any covid effect from the G7circus

They seemed more worried about property prices with more people expected to want to move there

If that is what is best for saving lives as deemed by scientists and governments yes.

If it can be between the five days we are home at the end of this month it would not be a problem as long as some one can be around to make sure OH is safe at the housesurprised

Lost me there somewhat. One death is too many if it can be prevented.

But as I said simply whatever is deemed necessary. If the government say it is then I'll go with it.

The thing is people die not one of us will live forever ever.
I know of 2 people who died last year, not with covid. 1 of them had cancer had hospital appointments cancelled several times due to the virus. Eventually died of cancer. The other one was 85 and in a care home. Would she be dead if she could have had loved ones visiting?

Sorry this is just in poor taste discussing things like this and I've stated my answer for you so I'll leave it there.

Poor taste or not it is fact. And as I think you might be able to tell I am totally against lockdown.

For 1 I hate the fact masks have to be worn I find it hard to breath in one.
As for night clubs Secondly not being selfish I think that it is about time that the younger generation should have their fun and be allowed night clubs. Third having been in pain with toothache for over a year, the dentist saying I will have to have the tooth out in hospital as the gum needs cutting to get at the roots. Another thing which is due to lockdown, could be another couple of years before I have it out. In the meantime I have from time to time have to take antibiotics to get rid of the pain. I suppose the plus is having the tooth out in hospital will save me £50 pound or so. That is if covid doesn’t get me 1st.

As many as it takes to reduce the number of infections and deaths of a negligible level.

Four extra weeks? Of restrictions ,After the last year it is nothing, and apart from going abroad ,and putting oneself in more chance catching covid,;the UK economy is all the better with the money staying here, and since we have been out and about on sites apart from those stuck in the UK because they wanted to take advantage of the services not available where they live?

We have been advised by most that apart from so e sites full up ,it is a real supprise as to how beautiful this Island is and why do we spend all that money,to park up on mud on sites over there

Not according to news reports ,it is only as said the lack of supplies that is likely to that the dates may slip

You've already posted that your local neighbourhood watch has asked for volunteers, we have requests locally too on other sites. I think that shows that we need them. smile

I quite agree David. It’s very easy for us, we can please ourselves wether we go out or not, the pension just keeps coming in, most are not so lucky. Personally I think the 4 week extension to get a few more vaccinated is worthwhile but like you think someone should have a medical reason to refuse. However, there seems a mindset developing that thinks the lockdown can go on indefinitely and that is just unrealistic. Particularly if extensions are not going to be made to such things as business rate relief etc. Many, many more businesses are going to go belly up putting folk out of work and into severe financial difficulties. The health and welfare affects of this are to often overlooked.

On this forum it is anyone that doesn't conform to the majority view. I get that most of them are elderly so are cautious but we need to get back to normal and open everything up. I feel i was conned into my vaccination by being told it was the way to freedom and then being told to wait even longer for no good reason. If we pull back at every little thing that happens we will never get out of this mess

This thread could turn into Mornington Crescent! wink

We have a couple near us at home. Just retired but anti vac. Are they more likely to transmit the more virulent version that we have now, they could certainly get it more easily and become ill and be admitted to hospital.

Just about every country in the world is having to adapt to the outcome of this virus but if we can vaccinate more there's less chance of a resistant virus mutation.
