Better Days

No, Peedee, I was referring to Ffordd pen llech. The campsite entrance is at the bottom of the road. The site is mainly static mobile homes, but we'd recommend it anyway -small and friendly.
p.s It took Cath and I nearly an hour to walk up to the castle, stopping every few steps to catch breath. The castle itself was too up and down steps to visit so we just looked from the outside.

Bit more street architecture, this time from the Netherlands. Found on a cycle ride alongside the River Maas, near Roermond.

And because I'm missing the Lakes I thought I'd stick this one in as it was taken almost to the day last year ( actually 23/05).

Here’s another better days photo, taken late June 2018.
Still struggling with the castle and the cows!

It’s St Jean pied de port, one of the traditional starting points for the Camino. I bought the shell from the Camino info office there.
We’ve walked quite a lot of the stretches of the route now, not looking to deliberate do so, but there are so many alternative routes that it’s getting difficult to avoid it!

Would that be Pontefract then?

We've often said that the next time we travel down to Spain and stay on the Atlantic side of France that we'd explore a bit more of the Pyrenees area but alas there are just too many places to be at any one time. We have done some Pyrenees walking and visiting but further over, near Cauterets and Luz St Sauveur, at the base of the Col de Tourmalet, a famous Tour de France climb, which happen to pass through whilst we were there. Pure coincidence.
St.Jean look well worth a visit.

"Still struggling with the cows though, and google isn’t helping"
Sharpen up! Pliers, Wherenext said they were by the Maas near Roermond up thread.
And now for a super-easy 'where's this'. Anyone not know?
