The people paddling beneath the bridge are a bit of a giveaway as the local lads jump off the Mostar bridge into the water. Tricky when it's only a couple of feet deep.

We watched them doing just that! Rather them than me - it's a hell of a long way down! surprised

I spelt the place wrong, it should be Ile aux Cerf if you want to google it. I think the sign was there because it was a public beach rather than fronting a hotel where it was not uncommon to see topless sunbathers.

David, there's something a bit depressing about your photo of that Roman bridge trapped by 'appartements du conseil' , It sort of reminds me of stopping for a night and having a look at the local town to find that it has nothing to boast about except a PMU bar and an old bridge.cry

Put us out of our miserylaughing

We don’t go out of UK because of caring responsibilities.  Furthest we can risk travelling to (even in better times) was Anglesey.  Can’t wait to get back out there.

Had to google that one, not heard of them so thanks and will keep an eye out for them if we get back to Spain. They are suposedly sold in supermarkets here but I cannot ever recall seeing them.

Here is a bit of a clue as to where that bridge is.

Just to clean up this post. The first shop is of The Hidden Valley off Glen Coe, beneath Bidean Nan Bian, and the other is in Moidart about Loch Ailort, descending from Rois-Bheinn, looking towards Eigg and Rum. We were there Feb 1999, but not in the van.

Harlech. Thought at first it might be Min Y Don but that's not close enough. Woodlands CP
