    Thanks for the information Rowena.

However, surely with something as significant as this, those who pre booked should have been contacted prior to arrival if possible. For most I would think you will have both email address and mobile number.

Many people are enjoying the experience of staying on site with film stars

Can't say that I would particularly enjoy it but I also doubt that it would have inconvenienced me. Thanks for info Rowena

"The generator is a small discrete unit about the size of a transit van"

...the small, discrete ones I've seen are the size of a airline carry on suitcasewink

    absolutely, TT....

these small discrete Transit Vans are the sort of thing used at the NEC CC overnight car park (sorry, temporary holiday site) where you are charged £35 (or thereabouts) for the privelige of parking next to one...

i guess they have to be costed in somehow....

much rather have a night or two at £10 a night, no generators or Transit Vans, no wires everywhere and no rip off prices...

id manage fine with the SP and a refillablewink

srill, back to the OP and Ro's post.....will they get a full refund?

What a fob off. This is a club site for touring vaners not some quick bucks making organisation. Don't think HO staff have any idea of what we pay our subs for. Disgusting.

I hope it generated a good income for the Club, at least more than if members had used those pitches.

We are all members and as such have a right to constructive feedback. If we all remained silent when we seen a route for improvement the club would remain stagnant, even more so than it already is, stuck in some buy gone era.

As a passing comment the Club is now called the Caravan & Motorhome Club seems a number of people forget that or don't want to accept it when making reference.

For those short sighted posters. Yes we complain when we see things wrong and have every right to .In this case a travesty. We use sites when it suits us expecting things to be as described. Its stupid to suggest those that don't follow your rose tinted glasses to leave. Get real and grow up.

I refer to it as CC or Caravan Club simply because posters know the reference and it less of a mouthfull (or finger exercise if typing). People speaking on sites still seem to use the old name in conversation as well and probably for similar reasons
