Well that may be so, but from my limited observations this last fortnight in Cornwall, all the motor homers walked, biked,or used the little car they dragged around, so better for them to use other means.

If we 're on a short stay the tank will last a few days and we empty out on leaving. Otherwise we drain some waste water out into a bucket each day and carry it to the usual waste water point. However a new grid on site rather than an awkward drain cover to lift is much easier and will save having to line the van up, we can exit quickly and not hold others up too long in the occasional queue. Motorhome drain points are not in the same place on each individual van and it can take some manoeuvring to get this right.

Brue,  For  just  the  cost  of  a  "Hello  Brian"  I  will  permit  you  to  use  my  non-patented  drainage  device  which  avoids the  necessity  of  too  much  manoeuvring

Its  just  a  two  or  three  foot  length  of  common  or  garden  household  square  gutter,  with  a  'stop'  at  one  end  and  a  piece  of  the  guttering  used  to  provide  a  'leg'  to  give  it  the  required  slope.

Then  you  can  pull  up  any  where  within  a  yard  or  so,  lift  the  cover  if  required,  and  open  your  drain  tap surprised !!

I  even  managed  to  get  alongside  another  M/h  at  Cirencester  and  we  drained  away  quite  happily  together innocent  !!

Not  quite  as  convivial  as  the  Dish  washing  Talk  Shop  but  we  can't  be  too  fussy  can  we    ,, ,, ,, ,, ,, ,,

some, like ours, have a 'screw on' length of flexible pipe (about a metre) which is 'expandible' by nearly another metre (just stretch it...) and this gives a pretty good chance of being able to find the drain.

however, a larger open grid would mean i dont have to get our and fix on the flexi pipe...wink.....just pull the handle from inside...

The MH disposal points rarely feature on our "which site to visit" list. If they have them, good. If not, we have a trusty bucket! Or a length of hose.laughing

lol, nor us, but if CC are going to do this 'redevelopment' then it would be great to have it done to a design that would make it as easy and convenient for as many customers (theres that word again....) as possible....smile
