    Fan tab ulous 😆

Do you think there's more capacity or less bookers? Will we ever know?

Seems to be allowing me to type nicely now 😉

We got up before dawn this morning and when it did get light, we were greeted with a grey overcast sky but at least it's dry!

I'll be working 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, so just 3 hours to do.

Booking did seem easier this year. Had one site at a popular time that we particularly wanted. Achieved access within 10 minutes, which is a lot better than other years.

Of course because of how it works you don't know if that is because the site is busy, or they did not switch booking on until 8:10.😂

I decided to book Rowntree a few minutes ago and booked a "fill in" between weekends which were all full next December. That's my contribution to the days racing results! wink

I do wonder if all the pitches at RP have been released, to give others who want longer than a w/end a pitch contacting the site direct later, that may also go for the other HPs

I was already logged on when I looked in! After 10am, RP, three nights in July, click, click click, done! All I amended was our outfit length so we don't get stuffed into a tiny pitch, plus we might use van instead of MH, gives us option. First time I have ever booked on Frenzy Day. Not overly happy with price, but a special event, and it will suit us this time.

NTH - Hope you are sorted now. Not the best way to start. Just be grateful you could get the parts. BTW, we've done the "Forget the handle" thingy. Plus the "Forget the Electric Cable" thingy. Plus the "Forget the waste bucket" thingy.😚

Most important thing I forgot when setting off for 10 weeks abroad .... was my wallet, checking as you do periodically by patting your pockets to check things are still there, frown 120 miles from home. Pulled off the motorway, unhitched in a lay-by leaving my wife in charge and had to drive back home to retrieve it. Luckily we always book a CL for the day before the tunnel.

It's now in big letters on my pinned list.

My bookings were all completed on 8th November: Seasonal pitch at Northbrook Farm from March 2018 to November 2018 followed by Seasonal pitch at Gatwick from November 2018 to March 2019; all paid up front, no worries!

Slight let up in the rain, just been to the Guide Hall to meet a junk removal person to get a quote for removing 16 old  tables and 90 odd old chairs, we have new ones arriving very soon.

Quite a pile  of stuff, so was pleasantly surprised that the quote was £200.

Also have them on Gumtree, free, and have had some interest.

Amazing what people will take when it is free!

We also have an ancient, in very poor condition, piano to dispose of, which is going  to be a problem as it is VERY heavy!

Off out tonight to son in law's drama group panto, I am videoing it for them.

It's always worth ringing the site direct.  Twice this year there was nothing online for the sites/dates we wanted so rang the site - no problem all booked in.

No bookings made by us (not that we wanted any) we spent the day driving down to Bury. Glad those that wanted got theirs.

Roads were fairly clear so pleasant  drive down, got into Burrs just after 3pm all set up, just sitting down to a cuppa and the rain started, how's that for timing.

Site 75% full by the looks of it. Bonus was the steam train is running today smile though they only run at weekends in winter.

It stayed gloomy all day ,but mild at Faversham.A bit of 'mizzle' this afternoon though. Two boat lifts today ,,the problem one from yesterday ,,modified trailer worked out o.k ,,eventually ,so towed that onto the hard for scrub of etc.The other one was just a small sailing dinghy onto its launching trolley. One of my clients who went out sailing this afternoon left it a bit late (again) so we had to pull him in a bit from the grounding on approach ,miss calculated how quick the tide retreats i think (again) !!undecided.
