What are you all up to

Yes, they typically charge about £25 to park overnight.....more than most sites. And for that you get cars coming and going all night, headlights shining at you, doors slamming, people taking a leak next to your caravan.......just what you want for a few nights away on holiday!
Still, anyone who slips in an extra 700 mile unnecessary trip into the middle of a tour of Scotland would think nothing of that. Obviously far better than just re-arranging the air-con repairs to be done on the way up to or back from Scotland.
Mrs M must be a very understanding lady.......or Mr M a great wind-up merchant.
Nice one, Malcolm! You got us all at it again

Anyway, I'm thinking about booking a package holiday to Spain.
Mrs H likes to still do her weekly shop at Sainsburys, so we'll be flying back half-way through the holiday, to pick up a few essentials. The return flights are a couple of hundred quid.
Due to the flight timings, we'll need to spend a night at the airport, so we will book a space in the multi-storey and bed down for the night there.
Someone did ask me why I didn't just book more convenient flights, but I couldn't be bothered asking about that.
All this will mean that we'll have hardly any time to see Spain, because we'll be travelling all the time.
Can anyone see any problem with this?

Currently sitting in the shade of some trees in my garden enjoying the birdsong and sewing up winter jumper for my granddaughter to post in the next week or so. I'm sure she'll be glad of it when it arrives apparently it's brrrr over there at the mo. It's warm work so allowing hands to cool and catching up on here.

Not so much a fishing line more like a beam trawler, dragging everything along with it...
Anyone actually doing anything today other than waiting for the next episode...?
Must get out in the garden again, the thunderstorms are due to arrive soon.

Crikey, it's always the same - get away for a nice break in the van and so many jobs to do when you get back!
Returned yesterday after the best part of 3 weeks away - very nice tour taking in C&CC site at Wolverley, a CL overlooking Pendle Hill, a week near Grassinton in the Yorkshire Dales, 4 nights at Chatsworth and then finally a nice stopover at a newish no facilities CL called Gate Farm, near Solihull.
But now the lawns looked like meadows, the shrubs have taken on tree like proportions, there's a mountain of washing to be done, the van needs a good "bottoming" inside and out and I haven't even started on the mail yet. Have to send off our postal votes befoe we forget all about them (how exciting!).
Think I shall need another holiday soon - ooh, Mrs M has just reminded me we're off down to Cornwall on Saturday!

Brue - just reading back over a few pages and spotted the post about your incident on the motorway - glad no serious or long lasting damage done and especially that the two of you were OK. Could have been a lot worse. We had a similar incident last year on the M25 when I had to swerve at the last minute to avoid a sack (empty I think) in the middle lane just as we were overtaking a HGV. No time to think about it then, just instant reactions, but looking back on it, it's frightening to think what might have happened. Hopefully everything's OK for your next trip!

Yes, I hope that that things are ok for you as well Bakers, always scary.
I would love to ask Mrs MM what kind of holiday she would prefer!

Still waiting for the break in the weather here, I can feel the pressure building up, we need the water so will have to put up with what's coming with it!
Have nearly got the van ready for the next trip, quick turn around with a lot of other events in between this week. Our exhaust will never look the same again but it could have been worse, scary thoughts pushed away.
I have been doing a lot in the garden today, I can smell badger in many parts, think they have been having midnight feasts when we were away!

No rain here so far. We will see what happens overnight. It feels very oppressive and humid here. We have had 2 lovely days with the family. BBQ at son and DIL's yesterday and everyone to ours for Sunday meal today. Eldest grand-daughter and her boyfriend are off to a festival tomorrow. I so hope they keep safe. We have a quiet day tomorrow and hope to visit a local NGS garden but that will depend on the weather.

I hope any of you at the National are having a good time.
I'm just working myself up for tomorrow. Not really looking forward to a journey from Polesworth to Falmouth and back on a BH Monday, but it has to be done. Anna needs picking up from University as term as the course has finished for the year. Tomorrow is the only day we have to go and fetch her. Wish us luck!!!!

We arrived at the club marquee before 10:30 and looked around but couldn't find any sign relating to the CT meeting. There seemed to be a lot of other people around but we didn't know how to find the CT meet. We looked both inside and out and sat at the table just outside the door as it was too hot inside. After waiting 10 minutes, we decided to go on to visit the House and gardens.
Incidentally, there are two people on CT that have met me in real life namely, Moulesy and Oneputt so they will be able to confirm to you that I do exist!

Like I say, ask Chris Moulesey and Oneputt who have met me in real life on club sites. We met Chris whilst staying at Cirencester and Oneputt on Brighton club site. It was not so easy by the club marquee as there were a huge number of people coming and going and unless you keep asking each and every person there, are you from CT, it is impossible to identify anyone.

You don't know what Truma are like. It's very hard to get an appointment with them because they always say they are fully booked and if I didn't agree that date, I might have had to wait another couple of months before they could fit it in. We need the aircon to be working in the summer when it's hot, not winter when it's cold!
The last time we had it fixed, they gave us an appointment in November when it was so cold that they couldn't test whether it was working or not! In the meantime we had no aircon throughout the hottest part of the year.

It's easy to be wise after the event but in future, it might be a good idea if some sign could be displayed to show where the CT meet is being held. After all, if you've never seen the CTers who are there before in real life, how do you recognise whose who?

Today I'm taking my 10 year old grandson to Wembley to watch Huddersfield Town play in the final of the Championship playoffs. I'm up early because we're off on a coach leaving the stadium at 0715. He said he'd set his alarm clock and then give me a ring so I didn't need to set mine, and true to his word as arranged he rang at 0445.
Needless to say we're both excited and loooking forward to a good match. Unfortunately it's raining at the moment.
Wish us luck!

How exciting. Have a wonderful day making fantastic memories win or lose they'll be with you both forever.
It's certainly warm already in Essex, we had storms overnight and heavy rain so hopefully it's passed through.
I don't know who's playing, didn't know it was on 😲😲😲😲 but it would be great if Hull win. Very fitting for the year of culture.
