We went down to the coast and parked the car in Goring Gap, then took a walk along the sea front towards Ferring and then on to Pattersons Walk. We got back to the car just as the showers started.
After that we went to Tesco Extra to do some shopping where the rain doesn't matter because it's indoors. Now we're back at the caravan having tea and biscuits.
This afternoons plan is to visit Bignor Hill on the NT Slindon Estate.

A few showers this afternoon,but did'nt do any crane/boat lifts as the wind was too strong from the North veering East at times.Oh !!! What a lovely wood fired toasted cheese sandwich lunchtime !! 
.Going to try a real (el-cheapo) Pizza from' Lidl' tomorrow .The seasoned/dry Chestnut Hop Poles give a lovely aroma and flavor too,cut into cica 150 bits and split down ,so thin bits for kindling and start up ,then adding larger bits as it gets going .Mmmm,I'm getting the hang of this . Any members passing ,for a Pizza supper ?? ??

Car in for service today, loan car while there ,have just picked our car up, no faults, or any problems with suspension after we hit big pot hole on journey home last Sunday, also car nice and clean as a valet is all part of 5yr package when bought the car,so ready for our trip overseas next wednesday

Came away on Monday with a slight migraine. Not had one for years thankfully. Hubby had sore throat yesterday so both of us under par 😔. Feeling much better today but still got a wobbly head but we've had really beefy showers with hail so have had yet another day confined to a stroll around the site. Sun out again now but wind jolly chilly. Hoping to explore the area for least a walk tomorrow before we leave on Friday 😲😲

B2, hope you'll both feel better soon. I read your BP saga and recognised the scenario (I hate those portable things!) Hope you can relax and enjoy your break.
We are just getting a bit of rain, we really need some.
Hope Moulesy enjoys being back in Cornwall. Sounds as though the weather will be warming up soon.

Trikey......MrsH uses the bread maker to mix pizza dough.....just throw in the ingredients then leave it to it. Then squish it onto a pzza tray, put on the toppings (pineapple essential!) and ready to cook.
She uses a perforated tray, so the bottom gets cooked as well.

Not sure about it being a "perfect garden" Brue, my gardening skills are very limited, but we have a bit of colour and I've now go a few herbs growing.

Yes,Millie have lots to look forward too, have booked a week off at the end of August now too, just started planning where to go.

That's not such good news. Have they given you a viable reason for the delay? Such a shame that you're not able to get away till June. Hope that it comes a bit earlier than your last forecast.

We went up the National Trust Bignor Hill, the northernmost point of Slindon Estate. At first we took a wrong turn and ended up in the Roman Villa but eventually we found our way back to Bignor to turn left up the hill. When we got to the car park at the top, we became aware of how vast the entire NT estate was, stretching from Bignor down to Slindon. Plenty of walking opportunity there with magnificent views!
On our way back, we stopped off at WWT Arundel. It was 4.30 p.m. by then so we only had an hour left before closing time of 5.30 p.m. After that, we returned along the A27 back to Worthing.

I start work this evening for Pizza Hut in Lancing, EasyT. I'm doing 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Saturday and Sunday. So 14 hours total for this week.
The advantage of working just evenings is that it frees up the day time for other activities so that we'll be able to make much more use of our National Trust and WWT membership.
Saturday is our moving day because we will have stayed another 21 nights here. So we have two nights booked at another local site before returning here. As I no longer have to work days, packing and moving the caravan will be no problem.

Hey ho! Mum passed away on Tuesday, at the care home that she moved to three years back. Mum and dad got me into this caravanning lark! Today dealing with some of the formalities. She was 90 years old , celebrating her 90th on the 16th April she declared whose birthday was it as she wasn't 90! so had her allotted span.

With such nice weather, a stroll along the sea front is a pleasure,Oneputt but you may need an extra layer of clothing as it can be quite chilly!
The club site here is very close to the sea front at Goring Gap. Just a very short drive by car. However, if you walk along the sea front between Goring Gap and Ferring, it is all open countryside so you get the full blast of the north wind on that particular section. Once you get into Ferring on to Pattersons Walk you get sheltered by the buildings mostly bungalows along that stretch with lovely, well maintained lawns and gardens.

Sad news, Robsail but nice that your mum and dad got you into caravanning. I expect they took you on lots of holidays and weekends away when you were a child. No doubt, the memories will live on.

I just noticed that the May edition of the Caravan and Motorhome Club Magazine is available online. I've just downloaded it. It seems to feature Devon and Cornwall plus Southern England.

I was interested to see the photo of Polesden Lacy in the May issue of the Club magazine. It's one of the NT properties that we have visited. We went on a guided tour round the house. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. The Surrey Hills AONB is not too far from where we are presently sited, about 30 miles I think. We have passed through that area many times when travelling north on the A24. So it was nice to read all about it in the club magazine.
