Shopping over at Lidl this morning, we were low on a few things, plus we are starting to assemble basic supplies for our forthcoming trip.

It is the Guide Coffee Morning this weekend, OH is still the treasurer, so we also had stuff for that to purchase.  Tomorrow OH will get the milk, and the change from the bank, and on Friday we will be at the Guide Hall from 11am to start setting up the tables and preparing the kitchen.  This year we will have help from the new Hallkeeper for 2 or 3 hours, so less for us to do.

On Saturday, OH and DD will be in the kitchen making the tea and coffee, I am taking the money at the door.  Then in the afternoon we have the money to count and prepare for banking.  On Sunday we will be back at the Guide Hall to put away all the cups etc......best done in peace and quiet for the safety of the crockery!

Will be glad of a holiday after all that!

Not too industrious, in fact the sun came out and I went out. Spring has sprung....well it has at Lytes Cary an NT place not far from us. Sat outside and had yet another coffee and cake. Took a few photos in the garden, must go back in a couple of weeks as the flower beds are packed with tulips bulbs. smile

The weather has been fabulous all day today. This morning I sat out in the relaxer in the sun before leaving for work. It was sunny throughout our commute to Worthing and has been sunny ever since with a cloudless sky.

It's been a quiet day with only two deliveries to do. The first at 12:30 was for a packet of cigarettes from the off licence and the second was a KFC order. So we had lunch at Subway and then went to the surgery to book an appointment for a blood test that the doctor had recommended to show kidney function. So appointment booked for Friday.

Next we parked by the sea front in Ferring and went for a walk on the beach. The tide was in but looked as though it was going out. Then we made our way back to Broadwater Green before the rush hour so that we were near the town in case an order came. That was when the second KFC order came. Both orders were from regular customers.

After that we took a walk around Broadwater Green. All the flowers have grown in the last couple of days and looking very colourful. The sun is setting now as I type this.

We're now parked on Chapel Road. We took a walk down towards the pier but unfortunately a thick fog suddenly descended as the sun was setting so that ended our chances of a walk on the pier to watch the sunset. The last of the daylight is going now but half an hour still to go before we can head back to Redhill.

It's moving day tomorrow and also my wife's dental appointment at Guys Hospital at 14:45 so we're going to have a busy day. Our plan is to hitch up and tow the caravan using the Shogun to arrive at Northbrook Farm at 10:00 a.m. get pitched at our chosen and allocated pitch and then leave just before 12 noon to get to Guys in time for the appointment using the Smart Car. It usually takes two hours from Worthing, so two hours forty-five minutes will give us time for lunch there.

Just twenty minutes to go and I'm now hoping there'll be no more orders so that we can finish on time. With a busy day coming up tomorrow, we could do with an early finish today.

I'm also hoping that this fog doesn't get any thicker. Motorway driving in the dark is bad enough but combined with fog, is a good deal worse and will delay our return.

A day of intense paperwork. But hopefully a great deal achieved. My brain was aching by supper time.

Perhaps some liquid refreshment would help.

Good luck with getting it fixed, trikyauto.

Like you say, a lovely sunny morning today once again, although it started off foggy.

We got up at 06:15 this morning, had tea and cereal plus toast for breakfast and we're now in the process of packing up to get ready for our journey to Northbrook Farm.

Well I had been waiting for some sunny weather. My spine had been bad for a few weeks and I was waiting for a warm day to repack the car with tables, chairs coats etc for our caravan trips. It is usually unpacked before MOT and Service.

Also emptied the caravan ready for its service at the end this month. Just my second wardrobe of clothes to sort and take out today.

Just been for blood test. About to peg out bedding it's glorious here again today and the daffs a sterling beautiful, in fact I have a very pretty spring garden.

Have to but 5 new tyres for the motorhome today ouch 😆 so off to collect it from storage and take to our usual tyre depot. Cultivated good relationship with them too 😀. Would like to give it a good wash after its more green than white from certain angles! But hubby hurt his knee yesterday and so we're not up to it. Shame as it would be a great day for it.

Might clean the dining room windows if I get time before we go but still too sunny for the conservatory ones 😃😃.

Looking at the kitchen blind now I've got over the horrid task I can see a huge difference and it's looking good. Well worth the effort. Goes to prove it's better that you allow them to get dirty cos the satisfaction afterwards is better 😂😂😂😋. That's what I say and I'm sticking to it.

Bakers 2, A friend of mine says that the only time she enjoys housework is after her grandchildren have been to stay as she can really see the difference.laughing. Glad you are pleased with your blind.

It's a cloudy morning here, such a disappointment after the last few sunny days but at least we made the most of the good weather.  Lots of washing done and dried and lots of time spent in the garden.

Off to fetch grandsons from school this afternoon so might just have to pop in the say 'hello' to the new puppy.laughing

Milliehull I wish the grandchildren could pop in 😢 however I'm not that keen on housework so maybe that's a blessing 😉.

Sorry other folks not got sun, it's still great here but forecast is for cloud later.

Quite excited as we're taking bits to motorhome ready fo trips. All we now need to do is find some space in the calendar to go. Mother has some gardening chores for us now. LOL I think had more time when I was working as we were more focused. Dropping off some bits at the  charity shop on our travels.

Dull and wet here, typical, just when we HAVE to go out.

Forecast is not good for the next few days either, so could affect the turn-out for the Coffee Morning.

Silly female pheasant in the back garden and Cassie (our dog) is getting quite excited, it refuses to fly as it hides under the ferns or face into the ivy with its backside sticking out, then decides to make a home in the garage amongst the rack of potato's. Caught it and released it in the field near to our property.

A little practice at church this morning with a soprano singing some lovely Mozart.  Now back to do some paperwork and prep for tonight's practice at Brewood.

Carol is busy taking rubbish to the tip from our sons old house - they hand the keys back tomorrow.  I think he's taking some paternity leave next week.

In the mean time, the dog is a sitting here curled up completely oblivious to the fact that she has to go for an op tomorrow to have her saliva gland the one side taken out.  That should be fun.  It's been one of those weeks!!

We had a pleasant drive from Redhill to Worthing this morning although we left a bit later than planned. So we got on to our seasonal pitch at about 11:00 a.m. After that we collected our Smart Car for the journey to London along route A27, then A23, M23 and then A23 most of the rest of the way. we parked the car in the London Bridge NCP on Kipling Street near the hospital.

We arrived at the hospital at 14:15 and had a snack lunch at the coffee bar near the front entrance, cheese and ham panini and bacon butty plus Cappucino, before making our way to the dental hospital on the 21st floor using the lift, of course!

My wife has just gone in for her appointment and so here I am in the waiting room catching up with the posts on here.

Second day running I've had the shorts on, although the wind has a bit of an edge.  More fence painting looks like we are making progress.  Planted peas and broad beans.  Now booked 2 x CLs and 2 x commercial sites for our May trip.  Quite a productive day

Busy couple of days, work and home.Have enjoyed the lovely warm sunny weather though. Not as warm today, but still dry.smile

Have heard from dealer that our new van is due in mid April, so hopefully no delays and we can collect after Easter. Not too long to wait now.

Haven't got as far as shorts yet, Oneput - in fact, sadly, I just haven't had the opportunity to get outside this week.  Hope the sun comes back soon.  It hasn't been quite as warm today.
