    Yet another thread hijacked !!

    The subject matter is :-

Club sites and full-time working users

Would it be too much to ask for people to stick to the thread subject.

    Cool

Those that object to people going to work from a site, as long as they don't interfere or cause you any problems, you need to learn to live and let live. My son got a job in London and bought a flat in Merstham which is just down the road from Alderstead
Heath, the legal dealings took a bit of time to go through so he and I lived on site, we moved of after 21 days then came back within the permitted time, we didn't cause anyone any bother and it gave me a chance to explore London. Shortly after I applied for
a job in London and lived at my sons for approx 6 months. For goodness sake stop arguing about who said what to who and if you have a complaint go through the right channels. I have seen threads closed for less that as been going on on here.

If however someone was repairing motor vehicles, manufacturing wrought iron gates or set up a stall selling wet fish (or a million and one other things) whilst on site then this would be wrong.

Shame, I'd really be interested in some wet fish Happy I'd draw the line at 'Fracking' though.

So in summary, some folk are allowed, some folk aren't, some work related activity is okay, some work related activity is not. Goes back to what was said many posts ago, if 'they' are abiding by the rules/Ts&Cs and if they are not being antisocial, they
    are absolutely fine.

Yes, its been blown out of proportion like most threads end up as. There are obvious do's and don'ts and as long as they don't go off to work at 6.00am whistling 'Hi ho, hi ho, its off to work we go' then let it be and chill.  Cool

Further to my previous post, I can advise that The Club holds an exemption certificate from Natural England that allows it to camp or caravan on land without the need for a site licence or planning permission. This privilege underpins, for example, Club
Centres’ rallying activities across the country. In respect of Club sites, planning permission is not required for the use of land, but is still required for developing the land, hence why, for example, there have been the delays at Black Knowl, which have
already been alluded to by those who have posted on this thread. In terms of those who use Club sites, Bye-Law 10.3 covers the purposes for which sites can be used. This is supported further by there being a 21-day maximum stay on site.  It is also recognised
that those who might be going to a place of work from their caravan might still be engaging in recreation. In addition, they might also have family with them, also engaged in recreation.

I hope this helps answer the OP. As the discussion has gone off topic and got heated at times I will now close but would like to thank members for their contributions.
