So it sounds like some professions are okay to do 'it' while other jobs are not, some people are okay, while some other groups of people may not be! As long as they are not rowdy or act in an antisocial way, and abide by the ts&cs/rules then that's just
    fine and dandy with me!

Despite being asked earlier in this thread for the explanation of the "Type"   certain posters were objecting to,------------- any explanation is still conspicuous by it's absence.    To allow the rest of us to consider the situation, would those posters kindly tell us exactly which "Type" you find objectionable.

So come on let us all know !!!!!

You mean give the rest of you a field day I dont think so Tongue Out

Surely it's a little "disingenuous" to post something and then not offer an explanation when asked isn't it, David? Innocent. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

I might be disengenous but not a mug, find another wipping boyHappy

Well it was you that brought up the "Type" statement, wasn't it?  So please explain.

I wonder whether this thread might relate to me as I have recently been staying the maximum 21 nights and moving between Gatwick and Brighton and I also go to work. However, I do not do any work whilst on the club site. Before I go to work and when I get
back from work I am using my caravan for leisure purposes. It is a place to relax. I don't actually do any work whilst on site or in the caravan.

I'm with you OP, if it is against a Member it is becoming a Witch hunt, I've seen the abuse in other threads. Bullying/stalking is not acceptable. Maybe the 'entertainment Members' fit an ideal that the potential bullies find acceptableYell

Write your comments here...Sadly, that does seem to be happening. I noticed how vivien started a discussion on 'Your Stories' thread that turned out to be a personal attack against me.

There are many other stories by other posters of a similar kind and length as mine. So why pick on me?

Write your comments here...Yes but the problem is when they start threatening to delete my posts just because of something that vivien said. That's unfair.

Malc, in your situation I would make a formal request to Rowena to ask Her for an investigation into your situation. All the information is on the screen for Her to see. That way you will get an answer. You are selling yourself short if you just continue
as you are. You seem to be followed around by certain posters as you post. Oneputt suggests a good way too. If you do both it will get you an answer I don't doubt. I agree-it is not fairSad

I did reply to Rowena's email and I got an auto reply back saying that she gets a lot of emails and that a response might take a long time or there might not be any response at all.

In her email to me, it looked as though Rowena does not want me to post in the story section because vivien said that I was boring.

    Comment from Community Manager:

    Hi Malcolm,

I just want to assure you this is not at all the case and by no means what I suggested. Also please note the discussion you mention was closed and later removed.

I emailed you to offer advice on how to use the stories section and what the area was intended for so you could make the most out of the community. As explained, I enjoy your accounts and it's great to hear what you have been up to but these posts were more appropriate in discussions or reviews, as stories are meant to be longer accounts about a trip or experience rather than just a short update. As mentioned we need to ensure each area of the community is being used correctly as otherwise it causes confusion to others and makes it difficult to search. Please be assured if anyone posts incorrectly in this area we offer advice on how best to post and request that they use the correct area, which you will see from other incorrectly posted stories. I hope the information I offered will help you to get the most enjoyment out of the community and as mentioned to you in the email you are more than welcome to post stories but they need to be in the correct style for this area.

If you ever feel that a post has contravened the guidelines please use the report tool as we will investigate or if you would like further clarification in the future I am always happy to offer help and advice.

Malc, you are doing nothing wrong, but as the above posts are about individual members which are against the T&C'c and will probably get removed,so it would be best to keep your dialouge between Ro and yourself ,you are not answerable to any member as to
    what you post......

Club rules only apply on club sites. What you do elsewhere is none of my business, it's none of the clubs business, or anyone elses. The UK is a free country. People should think about that before posting their innuendos and poking their noses in where its
not wanted. You just carry on. You've done nothing wrong.

Write your comments here...What happened CY was two of my stories were Deleted User for no other reason than a malicious personal attack on me. I don't mind constructive criticism but this was a malicious act.

    Comment from Community Manager:

    Hi Malcolm,

Please be advised I merged 2 of your stories to 1 rather than deleting as they were both about Mayday and I explained this action on the story. In the future we will be able to move misplaced stories but unfortunately at the moment we post a request to ask people to post in the right area and then later remove. This is something we have been doing since the community launched as we need to ensure that each area is used correctly.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion but please feel free to further contact me.

Now a polite reminder to everyone to request we keep this discussion on topic otherwise we will need to close. Many thanks.

HD, 'the above posts' are about support for a fellow member who is upset at being singled out, no names are mentioned so are not individualised. If that incurred deletions then the T&C's will have been abused. I personally have faith in the mods on this
    forum.

Write your comments here...Yes but the fact of the matter was the personal attack vivien made against me using my name and making it very clear that she was personally attacking me with malicious intent. Vivien is not a moderator and should not have any right to make personal attacks that can result in something malicious happening such as a story being Deleted User that someone has taken the time and trouble to write.

This issue is in danger of getting the thread suspended. Please take any complaints directly to our Community Manager, rather than discuss them openly on the forum.

As long as people are not working whilst on the site I don’t see the problem. When on site they are in the own leisure time and using the site for recreational purposes. What people do when not on site (provided its legal) is no one else’s business.

...see, I've done this too, I've had the likes of reports to read, development plans to formulate, 'clients requests' to respond to and I've done the likes of this 'work' whilst sitting in the evening sun outside my van! What's more, I've even done it when
'officially' I was supposed to be on holiday. Sometimes, I'd even take a work from home day and stay in the van.  Oh, thank goodness for retirement, at least I don't have to worry about, in the eyes of some, what an heinous 'crime' I must have been committing.

I had to go to work (during my notice period) whilst staying in my caravan for a couple of weeks. I honestly can't see the difference of going to work and going out sightseeing for the day. I am not worried about joining in with Club Rallies, etc; but do
enjoy going to different parts of the country with some idea of what to expect at the various sites.

Okay, point taken. I suppose it depends on the actual work being undertaken whilst on site. I have also read and responded to emails, phoned work colleagues and clients etc. In truth is this much different to reading a book or kindle (or other device), or telephoning or writing an email to friends or relatives describing what a great day you’ve had and how fantastic the couple in the next caravan are? This wouldn’t / shouldn’t be an issue.

If however someone was repairing motor vehicles, manufacturing wrought iron gates or set up a stall selling wet fish (or a million and one other things) whilst on site then this would be wrong.
