Debs  pleased to hear your news about both your daughter and granddaughter.  Glad you had a nice time away at your caravan. 

This afternoon I had a walk around to St Margaret's Church in Paston, past the medieval  Great Barn, which is the home for 7 different  species  of Bats, including the rare Barbastelle Bat. The church, which mostly dates from the 13C, has some very interesting wall paintings and an impressive alabaster tomb of Lady Katherine Paston. The family history is laid out in the Paston Letters which date from the 1400 to 1600s.

Another hot day at 29C, a little, well the locals called it rain, but I would call it a dribble,

Lashed down here as well Oneputt with strong gusty winds.

Managed to book our covid booster jabs for mid October.

We managed to miss the rain until late afternoon, although it has been windy but warm for most of the day. Went for a drive down the coast with a couple of walks along the shore at Walcott. Saw these wee things feeding on the sea wall, after the tide had receded this afternoon. Dropped in to have a look at All Saints Church, Walcott with Happisbugh en route to Sea Palling. 

If you just wander away from the main tourist spots, which are very crowded, even by a 100m you'll find the streets very quiet and the churches free.

Oh well home tomorrow to my land full of rainy skies and gales.

OH took advantage of a fine forecast to get a round of washing done, which dried nicely outside. Then we had a drive up the coast and had a walk along the cliff top path from Overstrand towards Cromer. We were going to walk along the promenade, but it being near high tide the sea was washing over it and we didn't want a paddle. 

I had an afternoon walk from the site to the 14C St Peter & St Paul's Church at Knapton, which has an impressive font and a magnificent medieval double hammerbeam roof, dis-playing inside, on its various parts, no less than 138 subtly painted angels with spread wings.

Yesterday was our annual Organic Inspection by the Soil Association, and Red Tractor Audit. Everything passed OK with no non-conformancies. It's a mixture of physical inspection, question and answer and paperwork and records. This time the Inspector was being "witnessed" by another inspector. Six and a half hours then a sigh of relief. But no time for celebration as husband and son (and family) went Litter Picking at our local showground. Though they did bring home fish and chips.

Today I'm catching up with the real world and paying the monthly bills (and recording them correctly in the accounts programme). 

But tomorrow we start to wind down and bring the caravan into the yard to load up for a week (a whole week!) away! Wharfedale campsite near Grassington. We've no plans except to relax. And I have booked Afternoon Tea on a steam train at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.

Buoys were manufactured locally and there are various ones dotted around town and a couple at Frampton Marsh, yesterdays venue.

BLIMEY IT'S COLD HERE! Left Pisa at 6.15pm when it was still 27C and landed at Manchester with a flight time of two hours and 5 minutes (according to the flight crew due to a good tailwind) where it was 11C!!! 

Well I have to say Ryanair this trip was spot on with timings and service, maybe because it was operated by Air Malta but well done.

A great trip and more memories made and not to mention over 1500 photographs.

I'll treasure thet photos of the sun, it's seems to be hiding here and the sky looks very low!
