Thank you so much for posting, albeit very sad news. Often get regular posters suddenly disappear from the forum and we never learn their fate.
RIP Brian

This is sad, he was usually around quite late on in the evenings, and would chat with anyone still awake. Kind regards go to his family. RIP Brian.

So very sorry to hear such very sad news. I loved Brian's sense of humour. Condolences to his elderly sister and nephew. He will be much missed on CT. Thank you very much for letting us all know as we had been worried that we hadn't heard from him for a few weeks.

Very sad news indeed. I met Brian when he came to stay a couple of times at Godrevy Park back in 2017/18. Had some great conversations about steam engines and classic bikes, always had time for a chat with anyone including the kids who took the mick about his grey beard. An honour to meet such a real gentleman. RIP Brian.
Thanks to the OP for letting us all know

ABM....gone? Surely not?
A no-ball, wide or leg-bye? A review or VAR?
Sadly gone but NOT OUT in my book. Help us win the Ashes from 'up there' Brian!
t'Alex has lost an ardent fan and I've lost a CT friend. Commiserations to Brian's family.
