So sorry to hear that. He was one of the real stalwarts of CT and will be sadly missed.

Hopefully a moderator can transfer this to another section where it  isn't be noticed by more folk who will no doubt wish to pay a tribute.

He will indeed be missed. Our commiserations to his "Elderly Sister" and Nephew of whom he often mentioned.

Thank you to whoever posted the news to keep his friends on here informed.

RIP "ABM" you will be missed, especially your humorous and witty contributions and your love of all things "steam." Thank you to the person who let our small community know, we noticed Brian was missing. Sincere sympathy to Brian's family and friends.

    RIP Brian.

Thank you so much for posting, albeit very sad news. Often get regular posters suddenly disappear from the forum and we never learn their fate.

    RIP Brian

This is sad, he was usually around quite late on in the evenings, and would chat with anyone still awake. Kind regards go to his family. RIP Brian.

I’m glad we know that it wasn’t something we said. With his replies he gave the impression he really knew us and cared about what we were up to.

    RIP.

Very sad news indeed. I met Brian when he came to stay a couple of times at Godrevy Park back in 2017/18. Had some great conversations about steam engines and classic bikes, always had time for a chat with anyone including the kids who took the mick about his grey beardlaughing. An honour to meet such a real gentleman. RIP Brian.

Thanks to the OP for letting us all know

    ABM....gone? Surely not?

    A no-ball, wide or leg-bye? A review or VAR?

Sadly gone but NOT OUT in my book. Help us win the Ashes from 'up there' Brian!

t'Alex has lost an ardent fan and I've lost a CT friend. Commiserations to Brian's family.

    RIP ABM
