A word or two of caution. You need also to identify why the battery failed in the first place David or you may likely experience a repeat performance and another big bill. There are many reasons why a battery can fail like this but if it’s a charging issue, or lack of charging, once that battery level drops below the dreaded threshold it’s doomed. Hopefully, once discovered, it will be an easy and cheap solution.

I've been trying to think back what my electrical engineer and production manager uncle said some while ago about a similar issue.

He has a smart charger that in some instances can bring a dead battery back to life. Unfortunately when the battery is so low the smart charger cannot detect the battery and so cannot do it's magic. The solution is to use a normal charger that may be able to get a few volts into your battery. You can then swap it over to the smart charger as it will have something to detect.
