Hello there
I am new to this having toured in UK but not France. Just looking at the acsi card - I can't see when the low season is to get the reduced rates. Can anyone explain? I guess that it is still worth buying the book/card to find good campsites?? We are planning to travel in June. Any advice welcome.

The dates printed in the guide below the relevant site are the dates that that particular price applies to. This date can alter from site to site. Any date not mentioned means that ACSI rates do not apply and the site will charge you their standard fee for that time of year.
The ACSI rate implies a minimum level of service, for example 6 amps, which on some sites can be increased for an additional payment per day.
We found it useful in the Netherlands last year but only used it on about 50% of sites we stayed at. It was less useful in Germany as fewer sites accepted it. France and Spain have a fair spread.

A rough rule of thumb the discounts are not applied during Easter, some bank holidays, middle of July to 3rd week of August. There are of course exceptions to these, if you are in the mountains in winter it might not be applied as its skiing time. Christmas might be another time.
Each country have differing times, in Belguim once all but 1 site in the area we were charged full rate for the holiday at the end of May. In France we've never had that. In Spain there is a holiday around the 12th Oct, some sites come off Acsi for that while others don't.

I finally got a reply from ACSI today, they say:
Many thanks for your email.
You will need to fill in your address in order to buy the app. This is due to our new financial system. Our new financial system will only offer the payment possibilities once your address is filled in since countries will have different payment options. After filling in your address you will be able to purchase the app.We hope we have informed you sufficiently.
With kind regards,
Gavin Crum
Customer ServiceIf you have already created an account, check you have done this, I hadn't and once I did, I had no problem buying the App and opening it up on my Android devices.
The email you should get after purchase tells you what to do to get it working.

Have a look at www.campingcard.co.uk where the first page allows a search on a variety of criteria, including finding all the sites in the various different price bands. Once you click on to an individual sites you bring up the site details, photos, and descriptions, including a yellow banner under the photo which idicates the season when the discount applies. There is also a detailed calendar when dates when the discount applies.
This is a search based on the 13 euro sites (49 of them). The price covers two people, caravan and car (or motorhome/tent/folding camper), awning, electricity and one dog. Other price bands are 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23 euros. The second one we visited last year (Millau Plage) and it is really good value for 13 euros. We visited several 13 euro sites last year in late August and early September (when ACSI rate was only 12 euros).
