Mixing with the nobility doesn’t come cheap.
Beaulieu is owned by Lord Montagu, and Holkham Hall by the Earl of Leicester - the CAMC President.
C&CC has lowlier and cheaper ambitions.

Beaulieu is £43 a night on the Friday and Saturday PLUS a £1 'transaction fee'🤷🏻♂️👎💷
the THS in Lymington is £10 a night and you get a lovely bike ride to Beaulieu thrown in😉

£1 transaction fee?. . .Geez that’s value added right there in a negative way. It proudly says-‘we are greedy & then some’🙁.

One reason it may be that price being it has all the facilities of a club site and many want all of them ,
How many times have reviews of non facilities sites asked for toilets
What prices are Black Knowl and The Centeanery Sites for the same periods next year?

Got it-it’s a charge for paying to stay there 🤷🏻♂️. Why not add-walking stick chg, informal wear, vehicle over 15’x5’, or use of WC.

Apologies to Beaulieu, it's only £41 at the weekend, it's Holkham Hall that's £43🤷🏻♂️
from the notes section....
"Two night minimum stay and £1 transaction fee applies."

I think you forgot to say in your view? It could be true or not? People should decide for themselves I always think?
Or are you setting yourself up as judge in these matters for everyone?

Isn’t Pinewood part of the Holkham estate? If so, I can’t see the Earl of Leicester being happy to have a pop up site on his land massively undercutting the prices on his own site. Therefore, I think it likely he would rent out the land for the pop up at a rate which would need hefty pitch fees to be charged by the renter to cover the lease cost.

Mmm, CAMC might even think it’s doing it’s best for the members 😎

Not in my view. He is your President which is an honorary role but he is not part of the hierarchical management structure.
