the only alternative would be AutoGas
as for these electric cars, they as much good as a chocolate teapot
they say electric car 200 mile range, that is in a test tunnel, no radio, no lights, no heater
and no wipers, so they can only be good as a city car
the government want us to go electric save pollution, but they go and fly abroad that is 20 fold the pollution cause

Sorry Lyke Wake Man, but thats simply not true. Of course the actual range is dependent on a whole host of things, the car included, but there are a number of EVs that will do in excess of 200Miles range in the cold, at night while raining, with all the creature comforts turned on, and at motorway speeds.

As I’m sure you’ll know if you’ve read threads on this forum, Auto Gas is becoming harder and harder to obtain as service stations are removing their LPG pumps.
No doubt EVs still have a way to go in terms of range and the availability of charging points, which although improving, could be better. However, in terms of range, my EV has a published max range of 350 miles and I often exceed that by judicious driving. I’ll have to wait and see what happens in winter but even in the unlikely event of it dropping by 50%, I’ll not be complaining.
