Not too good a draw either for you in The Cup, Brian, Orient are doing well!! Very much the same for my local team. Started off well but 4 defeated in the trot has put paid to their early success.😞

I can just hear the comments now, Nell !! No worry about that game cos we are going to concentrate on bringing on the youngsters that we have, and then full bore for safety in the League so we can go for promotion next season------------ blahdy blahdy blah
Yeah, I should coco !

Friends called me on the way home from Porage Pitch with half hour still to go -- non too chuffed with performance and non the better for leaving ground early 'cos the chip shop was not "up to Heat " for another 15 to 20 minutes grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well yet another 70--minute footy match for Crewe followed by the usual 20-minutes of generosity from all accounts. T'Alex are hanging on to mid--table but shewong no signs of a climb upwards any month soon.
Sadly it would appear that I am the sole 'poster' on here these days, so I will just stop talking to myself.

You’re definitely not taking to yourself, Brian 🙂.
I was at the Man City v Brighton game this afternoon. Very good performance, as expected, from Brighton, and a full away end allocation taken from their fans.
“Good old Sussex by the sea” I think I know all the words after today’s game. 🙂And a good result for Burnley, I live in their territory and get to their games quite often. Good value tickets and can get there using my bus pass!

A new "old" kid on the block after today's result, with The Magpies up to 4th!!

Sorry you're feeling lonely, Brian. I've just been reluctant to post anything on here about Hull City because as soon as I do - I regret it. They have to be one of the most inconsistent teams in the Championship The sooner they get a new manager and, literally, 'pull their socks up', the better. (And I'm discounting the last two wins because experience tells me that won't last!!)

When staying at Brora CMC site a couple of weeks ago I went to see Brora Rangers play Brechin City in the Highland League - a top of the table clash.
Brechin outclassed Brora, 0-3, but I was truly impressed with the quality of football from both sides which was of a remarkably high standard. I suppose I'd expected kick and rush and a lack of technical ability, but it was far from that. Both teams played a passing game of considerable excellence, and the skill levels were high. I would happily watch that every week instead of the over moneyed, hyped-up Premier League. And only a fiver to get in (concession rate) and £1.50 for a cup of tea and a Tunnocks Caramel wafer. Marvellous.

A win for the home club last night 😁, and even an away draw for T'Alex to cheer up Brian, at least a little bit!

Ouch Nellie That Hurts
I've been a little off colour this week and these reminders of 1--1 here 1 -- 1 there 1 -- 1 everywhere are stopping me getting up to date with a good nights sleep !! I will try to finish the day with a good long chapter of " How to differentiate between Foxes and Wolves " only even that reminds me of football, or it would if t'Foxes were any good .................

I couldn't believe that this was Crewe's first trip to play the Bluebirds at Holker Street in 51 years. Although both have had their ups and downs I thought that they had been in the same division more recently than that, Brian.

Yet another win for your boyos, ABM, definitely on a roll!😁
Sorry defeat for home team, but it does mean that they can concentrate on the league and getting into the playoffs at least.

Another fantastic sound and light show, pre match, tonight. Started with Wonderwall, faded into Blue Moon, then into Joy Division’s Love will tear us apart.
Game was pretty good, too. Nice to see Kalvin Phillips back in action after his long lay off. With he make England’s World Cup squad? Doubt it, but you never know!

Your's was not quite the nail biting affair compared to that at the London Stadium!! What a night for both set of fans that were there, especially the Rovers' ones including our SIL and grandson!! Not heard from them yet, but I bet they thoroughly enjoyed the night!!😀

Bet they did🙂.
Tried to get tickets for the big game at Burnley, tomorrow, ( v Rovers). Didn’t think we had enough loyalty points to qualify, and was right, we haven’t. Only went to 4 matches at the Turf last season, and they were pretty grim.
Poor performance from City today v Brentford, maybe some of the players had their eyes on the World Cup 🤔. Never mind. ⚽️⚽️⚽️0 -
SIL won't be going to the match, as there has been too much trouble in the past, and with both sides with the chance to go top with a win things could be rather hairy!!😖
Not a good result for you Pliers, but a decent win for t'Alex today, so Brian should be pleased.

Several arrests made or so I believe, Pliers. Ain't it strange that after the W.C. with oh so little trouble reported the moment the normal, run of the mill football restarts we get the normal , run of the mill reports of viscous behaviour. I'm so glad that I can support t'Alex without leaving the confines of t'Avenue not, of course, that Crewites throw their money around like that, Cheshires a well known training ground for folks oop north east from 'ere

Must have done by a Liverpool fan, Pliers!!
