New Booking System

They are still there you just have to access them in a different way. Put the campsite name in the search box top right of the page and the site you are interested in will appear in the search. Just click on the link and it will take you to the site page and you can read reviews by clicking the "read reviews" link as you did before.
Some of us have asked for the old regional site listing to be incorporated into the new booking page which would replicate the old system, whether that is possible we have yet to see?

Thanks David, I've done that but that shows you the old systems site description page ive tried a number of sites and there are no reviews after the system change, on the new system site page if you click on the review stars it states there are no reviews for this site.

Many apologies 🙏 I totally got it wrong but in my defence it was a stressful time. I completely agree with your sentiments regarding the lack of feedback.
Yesterday I could view my upcoming bookings via the app today all I get is a link to the booking page ?? We see regular site maintenance most nights but are never told what they are trying to do, very frustrating.
Once again please accept my apologies.

Also tried to look for reviews and got the same result as Arch, there are no reviews for this site.
Another point when I tried to book for next September at Bridport Bingham Grange no availability at all for 2023 where as on the old system it looked it was closed for refurbishment until July 2023 now nothing at all.
Not impressed at all with the new system so far room for a lot more improvement.

Google CAMC plus name or location of the Club site or CL you want you want. Reviews and site descriptions are there.

Arch
I have just taken a screenshot of how I found the reviews, see below, if it helps. BTW this is using Windows on my Desktop, not sure how you would do it on a tablet or phone.

I posted this in the thread re Snagging list.It also extends to Club sites

The major drawback for me is that the booking system doesn't link into the website details
I agree but it is worth noting as pointed out by Steve, there a link to reviews. Click on the star rating under the name of the Club site or CL and it takes you to a blank page not yet populated. I am guessing that in time this will be polulated and a link to directions added.

QuoteI note some are aready being populated, check out:
Find a UK campsite > New Forest > Show certificated site > Martins Farm
It looks like this occurs when the stars go red.

P.S. They are being populated thick and fast right now as I look

As Peedee has mentioned on the snagging thread reviews are now going onto the new booking system via the "stars." I checked Hillhead, click on the starts which are now red and the reviews are there.
Why on earth CAMC can't issue some updates to all these snags bemuses me. They are letting members do the footwork, helping each other but only on here where few visit. Just some announcements and demos would be good.
Why not "reviews are going live" with an update.

I note they have added a new video on the Booking Experience page about using the mobile App.
I still cannot use the Android App though.

The couple I checked only had two pages of reviews going back a couple of months. Hopefully that will be increased. Still couldn’t see any mechanism for leaving one though.
It does seem very strange, they have had months and months to get this sorted, due to the delayed start and we are still missing the basics.

I’ve tried to use the new club booking system and it’s a terrible mess! Tried searching for sites in Scotland in the New Year (and putting in dates) and it brings up a list with most of them in England ? Then when you click on the sites in Scotland for more information it says sorry site closed on those dates? Tried to do a search in October for England and again put in the dates and as well as a few sites in England (pretty sure not all those actually available), it brings up sites in France and Holland. If you search CLs or sites you can’t look at one then go back to the original list your search showed, you need to do a complete search again, very frustrating! Also you only see your searches down the left hand side, so most are initially hidden? There was nothing wrong with the old system, it worked an absolute treat, so easy and simple to use. I feel the clubs insistence to push ahead with taking deposits and their claim that the new system will improve the booking experience is sadly not the case and it will have the completely opposite effect!

Ian, There’s more than on e way to skin a cat. Don’t bang your head on a CAMC brick wall.Do your campsite searches some other way. PitchUp, UkCampsite, Searchforsites are all easy to use and effective.

Thanks, but no apologies needed. It is easy to misunderstand posts on here, as it is not like talking directly to eachother, and the time delay doesn't help either.
Hope you are feeling a bit less stressed now too. I agree that the occurrence of the Essential Maintenance without notice or explanations is annoyingly frustrating.

Whilst I agree with the facts of your post EuroT it does rather make a mockery of the CAMC, purely self inflicted of course.
Any product that was released into whatever market with this amount of integral faults would have been subject to a recall.
Let's face it the CAMC have made a mess of it, both from a factual hands on experience and from a Communicative position as well. Lack of any sort of official recognition only adds to their shame and quite frankly they really should hang their collective heads for this debacle.

The silence from HO on here about all the problems members are finding is deafening!!

Give ‘em hell at the AGM🤨

Totally agree with everyone here that the new booking system and site change is awful! I’m searching for sites in one area but getting a list come up for the whole country, also why do we have to have half of the screen taken up by a map? It just gets in the way, please put it back to how it was as I’m about to give up and not bother anymore!

I don't think its as bad as everyone is saying.
All of our future bookings done on the old system have been migrated to the new, and show as hardstanding. I have booked only one site with the new system, but paid up front and sailed through the booking in process.
The warden where we're staying says the system has had issues, but is improving daily. Reckons the problems aren't a patch on when the old Nexus system was introduced 15 years ago.
They tell me that they can even change pitch type upon arrival now, although it is a pain.
Give it a chance chaps! Rome wasn't built in a day

The complaints on Trust Pilot are mostly "stock" complaints so I don't think they need much more than stock responses It's of absolutely no use to complain unless you're specifying something that can be rectified or explained etc.
The booking system wasn't well launched but is now improving but unless people say what's not working for them it's a waste of time just being "outraged "

I have no idea why the Club encourage people to leave reviews on Trustpilot, it is completely pointless? Personally I would ignore them, they are in the main people just letting off steam and it's easy to do. It is a shame that we don't get regular feedback on here and it has been a failure of this forum since its inception with the powers that be tending to sideline CT in favour of the more glamorous social media sites almost as if it gives them a greater sugar rush! A lot of the posts on here have been quite constructive and we have helped ourselves to work through things, which is as it should be.

I think most businesses would like a 5 star trust pilot rating the club is 4 star, I fail to see why its pointless it seems to me judging by the actions of the club to CT that these threads are pointless, after all the hype and expense of this new system why on earth is it a good thing that we've helped ourselves to work things through, the new systems a shambles and a joke.

the new systems a shambles and a joke.
I disagree with that, we have no idea what the problems are with migrating to a better system which allows pitch selection among other things. I suspect in truth it would have been costly, time consuming and potentially difficult to have migrated all the data to the new functionality all at once. It is obvious they plan to do this step by step having established the foundations. I think we will eventually see the demise of the old site data pages when all the required information has been transferred.
I am finding it better presented, easier to read and I am getting on fine with the funcionality. I think you will find there is still a long way to go before every thing is done.

I don’t agree with your opinion of it being a shambles. I just tried again for a popular site and it seems very easy to book - and as it warned me of low availability for next summer it is clear that many bookings are being made successfully.

I don’t think it is obvious that they plan to improve functionality step by step. This may be what is happening, by default, but as HQ has not deemed it appropriate to communicate properly with members we have no idea what their plan is.
I believe they thought it was ready, hadn’t tested it properly, and the were rather taken aback by what happened when it was live tested by members. After that, they were on the back foot trying to improve various aspects bit at a time. Whilst it is undoubtedly better than at launch it is still a long way from enabling members to do what they could before, easily, even if in a different way.
Depending on what aspects of the club you use, which parts of the booking process you use, which parts of the site you want to use, it may be you will find the site easy to use now, or it may be a few months yet!
