New Booking System

New App and webpage for finding sites is useless
Your IT standards are set in the 1990's
You can barely see the map for huge unhideable filter boxes , The App is worse.
How do I filter for a CL with Electric and hardstanding now ??
You need to roll back the website and App back to what we had as the new ones have inadequate functionality.
Who was responsible for pre testing this new system???!!!!
My options seem to be to either roll right back to paper map and book or leave the club. and go somewhere where they can manage their online presence properly.
If I was a CL owner I would be even more irritated.

What instructions are needed ,as far as i can see it is easy peasy territory ,just read what it asks for, job done first time, no instructions needed
The more i read, the more i am certain it is 90% a user problem.1 -
Glad you found the number you wanted. You could actually have typed “CAMC Ashbourne” as a Google search and got the answer in a millisecond.

By the clubs response to the points raised it NOT a user problem. The club clearly acknowlege that the new system has numerous problems. Try search for a CL near Bridlington with hook up, hardstanding and good reviews. I wish you luck in a seach which would have taken me seconds on the old system.

Thank you for comment about using Google, there are a number of Cl's near Ashbourne it would seem pointless to use Google when the club site should supply the information on all the sites near Ashbourne. I repeat, try seaching for a CL near Bridlington with a hardstanding and hook up on Google.

Where has the club admitted it has numerous problems ? All i see is a few minor problems which people are making in to major problems
With such a complex system problems with the soft ware should be expected
From what i can see compared to many newly launched software packages ,the IT people have done a good job
For god sake give it a chance0 -
For those trying to search for a CL, try clicking on "Show Certificated Location" before you search in the "Book a campsite". As TMTO says easy if you know how and I agree it is not easy for all those not too used to using software.
It will show Club site in a county first but you do get the CL list. Unfortunately "Hide Club sites" is not an option and I agree the filters are rubbish. They don't reflect what most of us look for. What exactly is meant by Motorhome Friendly???

Merely a word in the operating name.

Google is good. “CAMC Bridlington” gives nine CLs in the area in a flash - all details of each of them are there.

Dear Eurotraveller, Many thanks for your great advice regarding serching for a details of a CL and its reviews using Google rather than the club portal. It's the way I will browse in the future. Other members need to realise that your advice is the best way to find a good CL with the right facilities that a regular CL user requires. It's a pity that the club seems to have forgotten the needs of a basic CL search facility for it's members when signed into the club site, it's still there but seems it can only be found using Google.

You can do eactly the same with the Clubs "Book a campsite" search. Right click on image to open in a new tab.

peedee,
Just tried your solution again and it didn't work having tried a number of times today. Which is why I raised the subject on this forum just like a number of other club members.
The simplest way is to type CAMC and a location into Google. It takes you straight into all the CL's in the chosen area, no ticking of boxes or getting a list of options offered on the club booking page. Especially the promotion of the clubs own sites, which I don't use.

This is brilliant, great if you pack a desk top computer every time you go away……….🤷♀️🙄

I don't have a laptop.
Lots of people don't .
When I log onto the web address on my tablet, " this" is what a calendar looks like.
note the days do not line up with the dates. 🤔
Thoughts?

The calendar works OK on my iPad. I assume they haven’t tested compatibility on all devices

Well, to paraphrase Tennyson and his Charge of the [Dim] Brigade……..
”Half a job, half a job…….”

A very good point. The old tried and proved system should have been kept as it was but with deposits added and the 72 hour cancellation changed to the 21 days as it is now.
Wouldn't that have been the best of both worlds? Keeping the good system that we all knew but discouraging the block bookings?
Less to change, simpler to implement, easier to understand and of course, less cost in IT fees.5 -

If only programming of software, was as simple as that
Your solution is totally unworkable, it would mean running two separate systems, which are totally independent to one another0
