The 1pm arrival message getting through

I’m sure M will help you with the maths, JV. You really should stop digging and issue that apology instead.😤

"Its is a shame that this thread has been turned into an attempt by some to score points and not reading their own and others posts before the attempt"
That's a curious interpretation of the last few posts, JVB. You posted with the implications that it was impossible or at least difficult to park up in lay-bys because they were taken up by HGVs. I tried to explain to you that, as far as driving to north Cornwall along the A30 was concerned (which we do frequently) there was no such difficulty. You could have just accepted that but tried to wriggle out of the fact that what you posted was, shall we be charitable and say, out of date.
Shall, we leave it there or do you wish to continue point scoring (with incorrect information)?

You are constantly being rude, you attack others for no reason, you accuse others of your own failings and you are in the wrong. Accept it and man up for once!

Evening
Come on folks, a bit of banter's good but the last few pages here have just been rudeness and petty point scoring. There are many many people who use CT as read only, can you wonder why?
Just for info. We've had 6 early arrivers in the last week, 5 of which were very understanding and left to return later. The point is getting across albeit slowly.

First point well made. I am away in the van at the moment and I just don't time to delete several pages of inappropriate posts, maybe someone else will or we will have to close the thread which saves a lot of time!
On your second point given that it is suggested that the problem is widespread it seems to me that half a dozen people turning up early over a week hardly requires crisis management? What do people say to you when you tell them they are too early to be admitted? We all now want to now what happened to the sixth person who may have been not so understanding

It just needs managing appropriately, and it seems like it is. No crisis involved in my opinion just a little self inflicted inconvenience for the very few who turn up earlier than stipulated. I’m sure the message is getting across, the number of occurrences will continue to fall and those that are turned away will diminish as a result. 👍 Don’t think it will completely disappear mind as some are just incapable of not trying it on.

I hope you’re right, Micky, about the few but we hear tales of folk turning up hours early every day. Just look at the pics Corners posted and see PD's post. Whilst not doubting JK, the problem would seem to be much worse than he’s experienced.

It is not crisis management at all in my view, it is ensuring that people comply with the rules that (and I know I keep on saying this) they agreed to abide by.
In my view six in one week is quite a lot, and sounds as if it is happening on more than JK's site so there is definitely a problem. Are you condoning these early arrivals and saying it should be tolerated?
How the sixth person probably replied reminds me of work when people who broke the rules got annoyed when it was all their responsibility for getting onto bother in the first place. At least with the club they have volunteered to come to a club site?
Well done to JK btw.

Some friends of ours ran a non facilty. Site for several years, after running quite busy with facilities sites and have said many times, that the members who visited the non facilty site were far more polite and understanding,of, as then wardens rolls than a large amount of those who used facilty sites ,so I can quite see where JK is coming from, with his comments
I witnessed at FM a very irate member strutting his stuff in front of others who had turned up early, ranting about not being able to book in untill the office was manned in about 35 mins?,
The duty manager waited until he had finished. his tirade ,then asked if he had his booking confirmation, which he did , it as all said 1300 hrs as the arrival time ,
He did say later he hoped the member was not a regular as the previous site staff would have let the arrivals on if not more than an hour early at twelve ,when they had cleaned the facilities even if there was only a couple of couples working that was giving the new staff a problem

Time will tell. Let's see what the situation is in a few months.👍

Presumably the man doing the shouting was also many minutes early, which makes me wonder what he had to shout about.

Assumptions, impressions, guesses aside, one man’s quiet word could be described as a tirade or polite provider of advice, depends sometimes as to if you are the recipient or the provider or the type of character one is. We really don’t know the circumstances but we do know what time we are told to be tipping up! No discrepancy or confusion about that!

Perhaps the club needs to spell out to all members the reasons why it is not acceptable to enter the site gate before 1300.🤷🏻♂️
