The 1pm arrival message getting through

I'm not convinced this is a major problem but if it is CAMC could add to the booking information please don't arrive before stated time.
Nor me Brue! I would have thought that if it was a serious problem surely the Club would be taking some action, perhaps along the lines of what you suggest. Maybe the initial confusion around the change from midday to 1,00pm is still working its way through the membership? There are probably some who may only be just starting to go away in their units since the start of the pandemic. Has the Club ever explained that 1.00pm is now the normal arrival time beyond it appearing on the booking email? What about those that book direct with the site? I suppose I would also ask how on earth this impacts on anyone's holiday? You are either already on site or arriving at the correct time so would have no knowledge of those that may have arrived before you? If indeed it is a major problem it is for the Club to remedy!

Except when for whatever reason the outfits arriving before you are not let on site and cause a queue which doesn't need to be there in any event, may hold up those who arrive after one, or cause potentially serious and/or dangerous traffic problems for others (see my earlier photos), and may deprive wardens of a lunch hour.
Also if they are let on it may cause extra traffic and problems, more congestion on site for others which however small does not need to happen.
It may not be a major problem but still a problem. It is causing annoyance for one thing, as people cannot understand why those arriving early cannot appear to abide by the rules.
If it is no problem at all why are wardens turning early arrivals away? What brought this on? It must have been a problem for some, and if it's the wardens then good for them.

I too don’t think it’s a major problem at all but it is annoying having tried to do the right thing only then to find some have gained access or queued up early by flaunting the rule we all agree to. They can cause difficulties for staff in doing so and on occasions cause problems on approach and exit roads. Surely we are all in this together and should work to help each other adhere to the rules not selfishly act to gain an advantage. These folk are certainly few in number but they are an annoyance and a problem to some. This surely doesn’t mean the issue needs sweeping under the carpet or that rules are changed just to suit them. Does it? They do walk amongst us and that is precisely why wardens are turning them away, they are doing something about it!

I find it difficult to believe that wardens would act unilaterally to turn early arrivals away without some directive from HQ. If that is the case, it surely indicates there is a problem.

I think the club has given their support to wardens to uphold the club’s own rule. Throughout our recent travels we saw club notices in toilet areas, pot wash areas and info. rooms etc. advising folk of the 1pm arrival time and explaining how early arrivals could be dealt with (turned away). Generic signs across all the sites we visited with that CaMC logo on them. It is clear to see that it is a problem to and for some.

Well, that clinches it and confirms it is a problem. Therefore, it needs to be dealt with in such a way as to make the problem go away. No doubt about it 👍🏻

And how early would you have to be to be told to go away before you could just wait? 5 mins? .... 10 mins?
I know that if if I was only 5 mins early I'd make sure it took me a lot longer than 5 mins to turn my outfit round .... sometimes I can reverse .... sometimes I can't! 🙄

1400hrs arrival & 1100hrs departure?🤷🏻♂️. Or is that 2 separate sites🤔

As a Member, I don’t really care what time arrivals and departures are, and will just go with what is offered. Not too hard in our case admittedly, as our Club Site usage nowadays is minimal. I don’t really care about the selfish (or simply thick) few who are the problem and getting on Sites early, seeing it as something the Club needs to sort out and manage.
What really bothers me is the impact it has on local areas, local residents, and the potential for an accident if a main road is affected. The knock on effect of this is planning permission, and will that Club Site survive? That’s the ultimate end result of a few folks being selfish, and that does impact on every Member. Such behaviour could impact on residency prices, who wants a daily round of getting snarled up with queues of big white blockages outside their front door? (Think Old Hartley, Chatsworth)
The planning permission for the new Site at Bristol is still ongoing. I can’t remember all the location details for it, but seem to recall it’s from a quite busy road. One that could have serious consequences if early arrivals start to queue?
The issue might just escalate beyond the selfish few. The Club needs to manage accordingly, and a blanket approach might not be the best solution.

Even when getting checked in promptly at 1pm, it still makes for a very late lunch, which has a knock on effect on other tasks and mealtimes. We much preferred the 12 noon arrival time.
Travelling with the grandchildren last year, they were very hungry by the time we had lunch ready.
This made me smile, in a rather nostalgic way, because it reminded me of my father. If you asked my father if he was hungry, he used to look at his watch! I eat when I am ready and it is convenient and not according to a timetable; I find no difficulty in that.
It is not really valid to argue about when people should eat - I get that; but I think I can argue that worrying about people getting hungry is not a factor that the Club should consider when fixing earliest arrival times.
1pm works in my view; if only everyone understood it and abided by it. In my view there is no excuse for any early arrival, even 15 minutes, let alone finding an excuse for arriving at 10am!

But then how may posts have said 1300 is to late and arriving early because you have a booked pitch may also backfire as the pitch may still be occupied and or site staff not available because of the many other jobs that need doing before the earliest arrival time

It as said before and many are like it read previously posted before making incorrect replies always ready to help
There are some who post on here that have a better understanding, than some that tend to post , it may be they do not understand this planet where they come from

In a nutshell, Micky.👍🏻
Why people feel the need to tell us what they have for lunch, I don’t know, but the crux of the matter is that the 1pm arrival time message needs to be reinforced and enforced.

1234L the queue started. First one allowed in 1300L and by 1309L11 vans had checked in.
