This is the standard of staff they now employ.

P&O agency workers sacked for returning from shore over alcohol limit

P&O Ferries has admitted that seven agency employed seafarers were sacked after returning from shore over the alcohol limit.

The company said the workers were found to be in breach of their strict guidelines on alcohol consumption and were "dismissed with immediate effect".

Or that they are strictly enforcing their rules and have a zero tolerance approach to those who break them.

Rules,  tolerance😳 those words don’t sit well at all with P&O!
We appear to live in times where such notions have little value as we also hear of those making and breaking their very own rules.

Not at all David, but it’s how much alcohol on return that remains in their system that’s the issue.

    Wow!

    I thought mine were strict.....

I worked for LUL & their drug & alcohol policy was a maximum of 7 units of alcohol in 24 hours with ZERO in the 8 hours prior to commencement of duty..... this was on the basis that 1 unit of alcohol leaves the body per hour & to ensure you had a zero reading if random tested.....

Even some over the counter medication was restricted.
