When is a rule not a rule?

Well is it possible to select, or declare as you say, a time earlier than 13:00 on booking? I think that pretty much covers it? That is the earliest arrival time on booking and your choice is shown on the email. I think you're splitting hairs here.
And anyway you posted:
Booking confirmations do not highlight or even mention the earaliest arrival time unless there are access difficulties.
But as I've shown you are incorrect. No doubt you want to reply (but to keep OT I won't) but everyone else who has posted appears to suggest the arrival time is there, perhaps certainly incorrect, and has no problem with reading it as such.

You missed that, PD😄.
Remember when the arrival time options started with 12:00-1400 and continued in two hour slots 14:00-16:00 etc? The earliest option now of 13:00-15:00 tells its own story.

and members are supposed to be alerted to earliest arrival times from that?
The plain fact is, no where on the booking confirmation does it say what the earliest arrival time is, end of.

I refer you to your own oft used line-it’s all out there(a lot of it) just Google it. I’m busy today I’m afraid so I can’t play☹️. It’s been a blast-you have a nice day👍🏻🙂

"and members are supposed to be alerted to earliest arrival times from that?"
The clue is that 13:00 is the earliest arrival time option shown so it wasn't "end of".

Dear Mr Hudson
The adventure begins..
Thank you for your booking,
Important changes have been made to the way you arrive and stay with us on-site, please read via this link
http://www.camc.com/reopening before you travel.
Booking Details
Earliest arrival time is 13:00. We ask you to check in by 8pm. If on the day of travel you think you may arrive
after 8pm due to delays en route, please call the site staff who will advise if the site has a late night arrivals
area, and if there is space for you. Late night arrivals areas should only be used when agreed in advance with site

Personally I don’t think there is any excuse for not knowing the earliest arrival time, with the proviso that the information provided by the club is correct. However, not everyone gets these emails. We are signed up for them but still only get about 80%. It’s always worth a check online just before in case there are any details on anything that might make getting onto site difficult, such as tree cutting on the approach to Cirencester recently. It finished the day before our arrival, but entry onto site was not possible until 14:00 on the affected days.

Ref arrival times. I checked mine and the information was updated 19/04/22 on My Bookings. I think until recently there wasn't much information apart from the estimated arrival times. Now there is a large list to be checked through and I doubt some will click on the link unless it's highlighted.
I've been checking mine as I know the local route has been closed due to tree felling and traffic news is included.
It would be better if CAMC announced these improvements on the web site (apologies if they have?!)

After reading this thread, out of curiosity checked 2 upcoming bookings, both on here and confirmation e-mails.
1 made almost a year ago states earliest arrival time is 13:00.
1 made 4 weeks ago has no earliest arrival time stated.
Both have our chosen at the point of booking estimated arrival time, based on our travel arrangements planned by us, not to meet stated earliest arrival time. Those times can be changed by us if our travel plans change.
Perhaps we'll receive another e-mail before we travel detailing earliest arrival time. Or maybe not.
It won't detract from a lovely holiday camping, which is what this caravanning lark is all about, after all.
We have a CL booking coming up, but can't remember if there are any stipulations on arrival time.
A commercial site booking gives earliest arrival time, but as its a couple of hundred miles away we won't get there till well after that time. No point racing to meet a timetable, we're on an adventure after all.

I was under the impression that 1 o'clock arrivals was a result of the apparent extra duties of site staff due to COVID cleaning etc As all restrictions in England (no idea of the rest of UK) have been lifted, why have arrivals not returned to 12 o'clock?
COVID has just introduced 1 o'clock arrivals by the back door. We're rarely organised enough for it to make a difference to us anyway

Surely filling in your "arrival slot" which is a two hour period is merely an estimate of one's ETA. It in no way is indicative of what an "earliest arrival time" is.
If one completed an ETA slot as 15:00-17:00, and subsequently arrived at 14:00, could we therefore expect to be sent 'round the block' until the specified time?
As ever, CAMC have managed to achieve a complete elevation of spherical objects. If the new universal earliest arrival time is 13:00, it should be proclaimed loudly and clearly both on the website and in communications.

If the arr times are from and to in two hour slots, then I would have expected any one with common sense would take it the earliest time would be as per the first slot
But I would have expected the club to have sent all members via a mail drop and or email to reiterate it to every one the reasons and to reduce site staff from even more abuse from those that I have heard say we "pay your wages"?

Well CAMC obviously haven't sent out the information to all and you'll only find details about arrival times if you click on the "before you travel" link on your booking page where it states that the earliest arrival time at most campsites is now 1pm. Then a site list follows giving out information for each site eg noise from construction works.

Except that you forgot or maybe haven't booked a club site in such a long time and, one cannot choose an earlier time than 13:00 so it's pretty obvious one should not arrive before then no matter what the ETA is.
I cannot understand anyone that clicks on the 13:00 - 15:00 arrival slot, and then thinks, you know what that doesn't apply to me.

I note from the webpage that Park Coppice is 10am earliest arrival. Ten it is then, wouldn’t dream of being early nor would I when the time stipulated is 1pm at another site yet some will quote that it was okay at Coniston and use that as their reasoning for turning up early elsewhere! I say this because I’ve actually heard it!

No, I can’t but we’ve seen at least one poster brag on here that he turns up early on a regular basis. ☹️

Google Earth is years out PD! don’t bet on it’s accuracy. Things change🤷🏻♂️
