Touring to Switzerland
In June 2022 I am towing to Switzerland via France/Germany. I have done this trip before but not post Brexit/covid. I know that changes have been made regarding taking certain fresh foods into France and wondered if any members have experienced problems. I intend to travel via the Channel Tunnel and to use paper documentation for proof of covid vaccinations and the Sworn statement, likewise just wondering if anybody has encountered problems.

As no one else is replying, and although my visits to Switzerland were also before the pandemic, let me offer you some reassurance .I think you know exactly what you are doing and what is required and have no need to worry.
Travel is becoming easier as every week goes by. A “pass” or app to enter bars, restaurants shops and campsites as you cross France is is no longer needed, nor is the “sworn statement” which you mention..You don’t need it any more. if you have proof of vaccination and those vaccinations were completed within the correct time scales that will see you through. And it has even become clear that taking a small amount of food for your first meals is not forbidden either.
Be reassured. I hope it goes well for you.

We will be going to France in June and my understanding is just as eurotraveller says - proof of vaccination and nothing else. We shall also be taking enough food for about 4 days covering our journey South. As this is for personal consumption I can’t see it being a problem. May be proved wrong of course.

Ian, Go back a few days to the thread on taking Foodstuffs to Spain - specifically the reply EribaMotters had when he asked the EU office for a ruling.

Hi everyone. Apologies if I'm on the wrong chat, it's my 1st time (be gentle 😉). I'm buying a caravan soon....also my first time...but I've been driving to Italy campsites for many years over Simplon Pass. Anyone know if I can stay in the caravan in a layby at the top of Simplon for a night or 2 without breaking any laws ? Cheers for any help 👍
