Crit'Air Sticker.
Planning ahead for next year I was trying to obtain a Crit'Air sticker for France but have come up against a problem that you have to send a copy of your car registration document but the document size cannot exceed 400KB. I've tried several methods and the smallest i can get is just below 1MB. Anyone else had this problem?

It might depend what system you are using to get a document of the size you require. If I was doing it I would scan the V5 to my desktop and save it as a .jpeg. I would then use some photo editing software (IrfanView is very good and free) to reduce the actual pixel size of the .jpeg which should get you under about 250mb.

If you take a picture, if you haven’t got photo editing software, if the picture is on an iPad if you go to send the picture by email it tells you the size of the picture. If you touch where it tells you the picture size it then gives you options to reduce the size. Send it and save it as a smaller picture.
if you are using a scanner, cut the scanning resolution down, makes it smaller, that’s what I did.
Hope it helps.0 -
When I applied for ours I did it on my pad. I took a photo and used the same size reduction App I use to post photos on CT.

I scanned mine to a pdf and by playing with the dots per inch (dpi) I got it below 400.
Just a point, and you may know this, make sure you are on official French Govt site. It should only cost a few euros. There are scammers charging a lot more.
