Noted JV👍 I have added “Marketing Officers” to those who don’t comply with your exacting list of those who are allowed to have a life at the moment. Column two by the way so far, but I suspect there’s more to come.......😁

No issue for me, never use the facilites as i have my own. Unless its a one off when i wanna spend an hour in the shower.
A month is not long to wait.
I feel sorry for the people that need the disabled part of the amenities.
if you are desperate to get away you will adapt and make do.I was laughing at a comment saying they are not emptying a loo for 7 people. Lol thats sound like hell. not the emptying of loo but the 7 people in a caravan. Thats no holiday thats a benidorm trip.

Because of the shower steam, the large number of people possibly to use them. The lack of time to clean between showering/pooping. The fact people don't adheir to the band system.
The fact that last season most of the above was true. and how many times were people saying how bacd the state of the blocks were left by people.
Not everyone in a supermarket will be using the loo's i reckon its not even 1%
Not to mention the reason we are actually allowed to get away is the "self Contained" holiday accomadation.

You beat me to it David. I have never been to Benidorm but presume that its mention is made in a derogatory manner.
Cant see how a certain number of people in a caravan changes a holiday into the quoted Benidorm trip???
Maybe not the posters idea of a holiday but when you have 8 grandchildren its often a full van, especially when you daughters family are in their tent and the weather is, how shall we put it, challenging!

might be worth checking your facilities are in good working order, this is just one of many comments re the facilities at Bath Marine Caravan site, and it is very expensive, we did look to stay there once
"To make matters worse the washroom and facilities were filthy, they were so bad we decided not use them"
"Very disappointed in this site especially in the current situation with COVID hygiene. Not once were the shower and toilets cleaned while I was there. The mop left in a dirty bucket of water was disgusting. Not changed once"

Evening JK, could you possibly explain what is happening at present on those 10 or so sites that are open for long term residents, i.e. those that live permanently in their LVs. Are the toilet blocks open for them at the moment, and if so will the facilities be closed come April 12th. Or are those residents to be given priority access to those facilities while those that are only arriving on the 12th expected to use their own, and will be paying full price for that privilege?

The club site where we store our van has been open to enable normal access to LVs since 29th March but without toilet facilities although the site it is very busy "shielding" members
Ps thanks for as expected liking the insulting post from WTG

JVB, thanks for your reply. From that I take it the those shielding on site have had to use their own facilities, and are paying the full price for the privilege. I will like your post too as it is a response to my question, one that I have asked before but had no reply from those at HO.

Evening
I can honestly say nellie I don't know. It doesn't concern me as the site I'm running this year has no facilities. There's enough to do to make sure the site is "covid secure" than think about how another site is managed.
I was trying to get "as noted" in there but failed!!

Thanks, JK. I guess I'll have to rely on JVB's reply to my query, unless of course a warden on one of those sites, or someone from HO, would like to give a reponse.

Rely on jv's reply
I'm unfurloughed next week so I'll try and find some info if I can. Obviously there are folk with insider knowledge which one can take how they will.

I have to say that the Club does take some beating when it comes to either vague information, or less than up to date information. Even supposing a lot of them are working from home, and despite it being a Bank Holiday, it remains a singularly none 24/7 entity. Still clockwork rather than digital, and sadly that’s where a lot of the source of uncertainty forMembers comes in🤷♀️

I was one of those people who would never be seen dead in Benidorm but a few years ago we had a week there in early December.. It is nothing like Blackpool, it is probably far cleaner than Blackpool or any British resort you could name. The curving promenade extending into two curved bays is fabulous. Don't ever knock a place until you've tried it. Whilst you were probably freezing in England we had a lovely week in the warmth/heat in our shorts and t shirts.

Just in case anyone feels tempted there is a petition here asking the Government to allow toilet blocks to open. Only just over 700 signatures so far. Given what has been said in this thread I expect to see it over 5000 by tomorrow evening

I entirely agree Mikey it is nothing like its reputation but then I have never been there in peak season. On my first visit one Easter a good few years ago I found it mainly full of Spanish holiday makers and was sufficiently impressed to make a return visit again and would have done so recently again had it not been for hospital visits and COVID.
I'm not tempted with the petition DK.

When I had my place in Spain, we visited Benidorm a couple of times as friends were doing a "locum" job at a church there. It's like the curate's egg - good in parts. Mostly a bit too crowded for my taste.

It was very quiet when we were there (in the lull before the start of Christmas) and many bars were shut. However there are some beautiful walks to the North and South of the beaches. The walk away from the coast past the old bull ring does show you the splendour of the old town.

The Email about storage was sent to all storage pitch users adviseing the latest opening hours ,with advise about the lack of toilet facilities, so would think a copy was sent to all sites that had storage,
I suppose i could have asked the site staff but they are only on very restricted hours but not Furloughed,, as we do not need to visit the office when visiting the storage compound it was not a priority ,it was more important to see if i could fit some bits of OHs electric buggy into c/van

Bit like Peniscola yesterday , but you now have to wear a face mask whilst swimming in the sea, but all facilities are open
