So I have just seen that the government reviewd its requirement  2 days ago and sites can now open facilities si presumably it's the club that are keeping them closed

Also the club has misinterpreted the regulations  Toilets can be open providing they are individual cabinets therefore all that cant be open are showers and urinals

Jack, I think you are totally misunderstanding the phrase "individual cabinets" as I am sure none of us has ever been in a communal toilet. laughing Individual cabinets to me would be the type of separate rooms accessed by an individual external door as frequently seen at public conveniences

In a CAMC block there is no difference in separation whether it is a toilet, shower or private washing cubicle.

I do not know any  cc sites that have individual cabinets ,unless of course they are going to hire portaloos in

ps Have you got a link to that review "update" from HMG

I am booked into a CL from 6th to 10th May. It has two toilets and two showers. Each is housed in it's own individual and free standing mini container about 1.5 x 0.9m with an entrance/exit directly to the outside.

I would say these meet the criteria. The site owners also believe this is the case and have expressed there intention to open them.

If the CL is full? are the other three units occupants still going to use the shared facilities? against HMGs roadmap out

Maybe they are only allowing one family in each unit, 3 families using their own facilities?

And that really would be fair.

It would if they were paying extra for the privilege.  No different than paying extra for a service pitch here or a private bathroom abroad.

PD, why the mystery over the two screen shots you have posted? Do we get to know which site you are highlighting or not? Could be other factors affecting the bookings, not just the fact that it doesn’t have the loos open, maybe it’s predominantly grass pitches for example🤷‍♀️

Do you mean extra than the advertised price. Or the ones not using them paying less than the advertised price.

You do know the pandemic is still going on and will still be going on then?

Would you expect, in these unprecedented times, sites to be full? There are a number of different reasons, probably all Covid related, why people aren't booking up or going away.

What are you trying to prove with you looking are bookings like this?

If anyone from the club wants to read the BHPA opening conditions for 12th April, go to Section2 Paragraph 56, which clearly states that facilities for washing and toilets can be open subject to the same restrictions we had after lockdown last year

WHY DON'T THE CLUB WANT TO DO THIS FOR ITS MEMBERS

Don't forget my comment was referring to a CL, probably sub £20 not a £30 per night Club site. As a non facility user I would willingly volunteer not to have a bathroom.

I would have no wish to deprive a 5 van site of any income as I hope than the current ones survive. If the CL was lost it would not be replaced whereas if the Club ceased to exist I'm sure many other providers would fill the void.

Thanks but I see no point in reading it. Whether I would subsequently agree with you or not, the club has made its decision and you are not addressing (shouting at?) the decision makers.

Take it up with the club if you feel strongly but you are very unlikely to achieve anything by posting here.

Agreed TDA but in all reality and truth the club had the decission made for them weeks ago with the road map! No amount of sought clarification has changed this.

And let’s not forget that that date of May 17 for the opening of facilities on places of overnight occupancy is not a given. It is very much subject to that critical Covid data going the right way. It would be stupidity itself to throw away all the sacrifices we have made at this fragile and critical stage of recovery.

Agree wholeheartedly Micky.👍 The Club knows it’s core membership loves the facility blocks, and many are reliant upon them in terms of it making a good deal of difference to a holiday being as required, rather than a compromise, so has perhaps (not alone) dithered over a decision made for it weeks ago, allowing a hefty dose of wishful thinking to prevail. Those with the blinkers off booked Club Sites months ago on the understanding that it would be using our own facilities.

Doesn't make it any less disappointing for those who have to (rather than like to) use Site facilities. Just a bit longer to wait.

The ref to "my friend"  as some like to call our MP when trying to score points about  information i can obtain,  is part of the reply i recieved from him when some were trying to advise?the situation had changed? and as he wrote it has not as far as shared fecilitiies are concerned

But by some posts are still it seems reading into the road out of the lockdown only the bits that they want to read to try to think it has altered instead of all the paragraphs
