No synopsis JV it was a reply👍🏻. I doubt very much if vulnerable folk are herded into a particular area of the UK🤷🏻♂️. When a person knows- being infected with covid-19 will most probably kill them it helps to focus the mind, whereas the young & the hard of thinking believe they are invulnerable, their approach is more laissez faire.

It does seem strange though that London which must-have a huge number of multi generation households doesn't have such a high rate of infections compared to the north east and west.

Also a population of over 9 million , a friend of ours who lives in a very high bame population in terraced houses,in North East London who i spoke to today in the same vunerable group as us ,told me that the virus positive cases is low where he is , ,even as he said a very noisy devali with fire works

I heard the SE situation being discussed on the news today. There is apparently a school of thought that suggests the early high infection rates in the SE back in the Spring may have produced an element of herd immunity resulting in low numbers of cases now. It’s unproven but a topic being considered.

Have just been watching the local news on BBC East and health experts think that with more shops being open it seems more people taking advantage of they expect? less people shopping is having an effect in some areas with the higher virus figures
They had Cameras in Stevenage town centre and it was very noticeable that very FEW people were NOT wearing face masks

agree on the vaccine issue, but an ex work college living in Houston told me yesterday that new infections are out of control, and that people were dropping like flies.
"US coronavirus cases soar to new daily high of more than 185,000"
this was yesterday, not sure if lock down was or is the answer in the UK but there was a programme on the TV last night with lots of professors etc and each had their own take on what should have been done. For me the biggest tragedy was allowing all those sporting events to take place in early March and then not being able to track just how many people were infected walking around infecting others Oh! and not stopping all flights from mainly China.

Having watched the three part programme about the plague of 1665, it seems abundantly clear that, notwithstanding the advances in both medicine, hygiene and data, we have learned nothing from history.

Wow, did they have a test & trace system in London in 1665?😱.

Although they did not know at the time how it was spread, the way it was treated when doing experiments on the programme it was proved what they did worked, although at the time it was not realised why it was "effective" good programm, social distancing worked then

The rules haven’t been amended. It was always optional.
