It doesn't matter what I believe of the Govt but I do believe the scientists, although you clearly don't.

It didn’t seem that way earlier regarding the order of vaccination🤷🏻♂️. In fact you were disagreeing with the advice.

The 'advice' was not the science at all. It was trying ti keep the population on board. The order of vaccination was government. Not scientific advice. First you protect front line staff and then those tht rely on others and cannot defend themselves. Those in care homes rely on others. Folk like me and OH who straddle 7 years can protect themselves to a large degree. Those in the work place less so.

The scientists are adamant that they do not yet know whether vaccinated folk can still carry the disease which is contrary to the crux of your view first stated a few pages back that carriers should be vaccinated first. In that, you definitely contradict the science.
I've said this so many times, as have others, but you seem to miss the point every time so I'll Ieave you to ponder and research as there's no point in going around in circles.

It seems mostly clear that the vast majority of those vaccinated, if subsequently infected:
- will either not develop any symptoms or only minor symptoms not requiring hospitalisation.
- will carry the infection and if so for how long and whether they will be vectors (able to infect others).
It is also not known how long any immunity will last and whether or not regular re-vaccinations (boosters) will be required similar to the annual flu jab.
What is clear is that we have a route out of this mess.
I for one will grab the first opportunity to get the jabs. I want to be able to ignore CV19 much as I do the flu and get back to travelling and stop wearing a face nappy.

which is worldwide not just these countries ,,but it seems the majority who do not accept anything they do not agree with ,thank goodness it seems, are outnumbered by those who accept what the situation that the "China virus" has given the rest of the world for the unforeseeable future

The science does not know apparently. However after protecting staff on the front line and those in care homes that cannot avoid the situation I would prefer to protect those working who are also less able to avoid others rather than those in my age range (and retired) who are also more able to avoid contact.
I've said this so many times, as have others, but you seem to miss the point every time so I'll Ieave you to ponder and research as there's no point in going around in circles.
you are welcome to your opinion. I have my own having researched and pondered

Meanwhile......... cartoon says it all......

It’s not a clever move if folk refuse the vax accepted but I also don’t agree in a forced vax against anyone’s will. That borders on a Police state. If folk don’t want it then that should be an end to it.

Good point F, I agree with you, making it a rule of employment it is still optional👍🏻. I was thinking more a Govt ‘directive.’

I will no doubt have to take the vaccine as OH would worry otherwise. I am not against taking the vaccine it is the order of vaccinating that I disagree with. Even with a vaccine this is going to run for a while yet
I have no doubt that there will be a number that will be compelled to take it also - one way or another.

It’s difficult Rocky. All that we can hope is that the waverers can be persuaded. But I fear it might just require some indirect measures as well.

My grandmother died of the flu. Every year I make sure I get a flu vaccine. These scientists have worked long and hard to bring us this vaccine, amazing people. Personally I thank them and bow to their knowledge. Vaccine is the only way out of this sad mess. I won't hesitate, sleeve rolled up now, ready and waiting my turn.

My view, put simply. (quicker than searching the site)
Those in nursing frontline, police etc including bus drivers and many others cannot avoid fairly close contact with the public. The older folk in care homes are in that position also.
Many retired folk can minimise contact and have.
Those working in factories and offices cannot all avoid contact and that goes for many other jobs of work.
I could expand further but I think that you will catch my drift even if you disagree with my views LLM.

I just can’t see how it can be done TDA🤷🏻♂️. I remember in the past when things have been forced on the public(attempted). France is going down that avenue now, riding roughshod over ancient rights never ends well☹️. Choice & choice only is the way.

I agree with all you have said but you don't explain the benefit giving the vaccine to sections of the population that are unlikely to suffer serious consequences of getting the virus ahead of those that are more likely to get seriously ill, need hospitalisation, and quite possibly die.
