I’m a firm believer in vaccinate, there are millions upon millions if not billions around the world suffering right now, gladly I’m not one of them so I refuse to be party to the-‘don’t get too excited re the end of covid look at all these conspiracy theories’ the conspiracy theories & theorists are almost as bad as the virus, they are costing lives & they are messing with folks minds. I am not one of them I know they are a power for good👍🏻

I think you may be exaggerating here, hundreds of drugs ? I mean I can think of a few but hundreds, perhaps you could list them?
Anyway we're talking a vaccine here (can you name some hundreds of vaccines that have gone wrong?). Also a vaccine and a drug operate in different ways. There are risks but usually these are vastly outweighed by the huge benefits.

+1 there Rocky.

There were several vaccinations that were 'rushed through' that had unfavourable side effects during my lifetime. So it does happen. What percentage I have no idea. the last I recall was about 10 years ago for swine flue. Can't recollect others but there were some.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen (but certainly not in hundreds of vaccines) but usually it is as you say some adverse side effects in often a minority of people, but I can't think of any vaccines that are dangerous.
Btw the Swine flu vaccine that caused a problem, as in an increases risk of other health issues was in 1976, while the outbreak in 2009 didn't appear to have any serious or major vaccine related issues?

I reckon if you look down the queue you'll see me there somewhere close by

This was the Govt's proposal for the queue published on 25 Sept. there are lots of ifs and buts depending on the final findings for the chosen vaccine.

If you are really interested have a look at the MHRA website. If you do you'll get a feel for the scale of the problem. Also I did not say hundreds of vaccines. I simply said hundreds of drug and for clarity included vaccines with them.
I accept that by comparison with the number of drugs there are relatively few vaccines but their potential for harm can be great as they are often used in mass programmes, e.g. the Neisseria meningitidis vaccine.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with your reply.
But of course there will always be incidents of side effects, even the flu jab I had on Saturday gave me side effects, that is really not the point I was making, as far as I remember and can tell there were no (in your own terms) unfavourable side effects in 2009, were they?
In any case I said 'serious or major vaccine related issues' not just side effects as in your post.
I don't know why you're replying to me again with this when all I did was agree with R2B with a +1, perhaps you should aim these replies at him perhaps? Your choice of course.

Age has to have some compensations.

Perhaps you could post a link to that? I did look but couldn't find anything that talks about the scale of the problem? But your use of hundreds of in your first original post is misleading
Over the years hundreds of drugs, including vaccines, have been found to cause harm and be ineffective
You did lump them together with no reference to which was which?
Also I really don't know what you are referring to with that vaccine at all causing harm? Nothing about the potential harm it can do on the NHS site, also.
The most common side effects ... are mild, like a sore arm, and usually last no more than 1 or 2 days. A small percentage of people who get the vaccine develop a fever. On very rare occasions, people may have severe (anaphylactic) allergic reactions...

Anyway the Covid vaccine won't be forced on anyone, so if one has concerns don't take it?

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with your reply.
Exactly what I did say. Having checked the injections were given in around November 2009 and the 'side effect' was narcolepsy which is obviously far from minor.
The drug used was Pandemrix and was rushed through with increasing fear of swine flue pandemic. The UK carried on using it after other EU countries had stopped due to this 'side effect'
I don't know why you're replying to me again with this when all I did was agree with R2B with a +1, perhaps you should aim these replies at him perhaps? Your choice of course.
It was easier to quote yours rather than search for his as it was merely something to tag onto and you echoed agreement with his post anyway and quoted it.
A rare side effect of one of my drugs is death

Reports and studies in 2014 and 2018 showed no association with Pandermix and increased increased risk of narcolepsy. Links available on request.
A rare side effect of one of my drugs is death - has that happened?

History tells us that no vaccine is without any risk to 100% of the people who might have it. I feel happier that we’ve got a UK developed, manufactured and regulated product. I’m not sure I’d be so confident about vaccines derived from outside Europe. Wall Street will, I fear, have as much influence on USA products as the scientists. As for China, forget it!
Talking of scientists.... I hope when all this is over that we properly acknowledge and celebrate the achievement of the scientists who got us out of this mess. I hope kids are inspired and recognise the fundamental importance of the science, not just as something the swats and geeks at school do, but as something that is worthwhile and can truly change the world.6 -

Eggs and baskets come to mind. How successful this is in the long run is to be seen and depends on uptake by those most likely to be spreaders and how the governments and we people act.. As is said hereabouts. "Live in Hope, die in Caergwrle"

I’m not interested in the serial negative types who call yes to no & left to others right. It’s never followed by depth of understanding. They do it so many times it loses currency C🤷🏻♂️
