Thank you. The CC's track record on web site accuracy isn't that good. I know we all make mistakes but if pointed out most try and correct them.

Was told by the warden on this site that he is due to move to Southport when he finishes here, I thought it was closed but he confirmed its open to folk in the Liverpool area.

If I hadn't come on CT I would know nothing about these changes as we have not had an email others mention on the 'Covid' thread.

Guess that Burrs will have to be added to the first paragraph now that M/C has been "upgraded" to tier 3.

As the club have been forced to close the site, I would assume the booking will be cancelled by the club.

Had an email to say as the site is closed I’m the one that needs to cancel, confused if that means I need to cancel to allow others the chance to book during the shut down period. Sound odd to me.

If I don’t cancel, will I be charged for not turning up?

If your booking the for a period of time when the site is closed now can anyone else book for that time? If you don't cancel, but don't turn up you might get an email giving you a ticking off, but you will not have to pay any charges.

No one is ever charged for not turning up.

As Welsh sites are now closed there should be no need to cancel but you could do so for your own peace of mind if you wish. It's a simple matter online via My Bookings.

I think it refers to sites that are open in areas that only people in that area are allowed/restricted to travel to

No one is charged for not arriving at a club owned or managed site

Update: Burrs Country Park falls under the governance of Great Manchester rather than Lancashire. From Friday 23 October, only visitors from the Great Manchester Tier 3 restricted area can stay at this site. Please be aware this site will not be able to accommodate any visitors from any other Tier 3 restricted area.

Had a phone call from Pembrey to say they’ve cancelled my booking, so no flag saying I’ve cancelled.  All good and as it should be in my opinion.

The Haven sites will close at 6pm Friday and will not reopen. All bookings thereafter cancelled. They had extended their season previously to the end of November.

Anyone know what happens if you're already on a club site and the area you're from goes into stage 3 in the middle of your stay ?

We are both somewhat paranoid about Covid due to being firmly in the 'vulnerable' sector of CAMC membership, but recently risked our first trip to a club site since March.

It was  great relief to visit the Merrose Farm club site in Cornwall during October to find the site relatively empty and mostly everyone observing the Covid rules. We felt safe.

But this weekend (being the start of the school hols) the site quickly filled and we were horrified to see two families in separate caravans pitch near us in adjacent pitches, then to erect a large awning to each caravan (facing each other) and then to erect a huge dome tent that completely filled the gap between their two large awnings! The dome tent was clearly the meeting place for well in excess of the 6 people allowed in Govt guidelines! Also this meant no firebreak between these two outfits!

We couldn't believe that people could be so selfish and stupid on a club site, when the current severe limitations are there to help save lives. We didn't take this up with the wonderful wardens as we'd been given a leaflet stating it was not their responsibility to enforce Govt guidelines. The site just felt really busy. We left yesterday.

Everyone wants to enjoy their holidays but please consider others when taking risks with Covid! And please don't place the hard working wardens in an impossible position!

We're booked in at Broadway over the Christmas period but really worried about this now and will probably cancel.

Maybe so but it is the wardens' responsibility to enforce the spacing requirements so you should have brought it to their attention.

When you mentioned your quite it seems legitimate concerns to the site staff what was the response?  it is very unusual to note that sort of thing on a club site

Agree, inform the Wardens, let them deal with it. Club Sites are very busy in school holidays, and a different demographic to the mid week school term stayers. I wouldn’t let it put you off Broadway, it’s a different Site, in a different area, and will probably have a totally different set of Members staying. It’s not something we have ever encountered on a Club Site, very unusual.

Edit: I would be interested in seeing the leaflet that inferred Wardens shouldn’t ensure pitch spacing is adhered to.....🤔

The OP quite categorically states that they didn't take it up with the wardens as they (the wardens) had made it clear it wasn't their responsibility to enforce the regulations!

However one would have thought that the wardens on their inspection of the site or merely on their bin emptying journeys wohld have noticed the flagrant breach of the fire safety rules which are their responsibility. They should have enforced this with the offending members. Not the OPs job.

Also Broadway will have a different set of winter staff from next week so keep your booking and enjoy the site we stayed there last year just before xmas and had a great break.

Seems a few folk do not think rules apply to them.

Praise to the site staff in this difficult year.

From the list given to us by the warden when we booked in today, and I would think that it is a generic form applicable to all club sites....

"Whilst out and about on-site and using facilities, please ensure you adhere to social dusty at all times.......

Limit social gatherings to maximum numbers as defined by current legislation.

Our site staff will not be responsible for members and guests adhering to social distancing and Government guidelines/legislation."
