Travelling to Spain

We are hoping to take the caravan abroad for the first time, down to Northern Spain next July, early in the month to avoid school holidays and are looking for recommendations for caravan sites, smaller, adult only preferably, around 50-60 pitches, about 3-4 hours from Santander or Bilbao. Ideally we would do 4-5 days in Spain and 4-5 days in France.

Most comprehensive source of info may well be ACSI card and book, for about £15 it’s invaluable. There is plenty of choice of campsites but I doubt many will be adult only.

James, you already posed this question in another thread. I replied to that one.

James, if that 8 or 10 days is your total time, and if you are sailing back from Santander as well as arriving there,  then I would stick to that corner of northern Spain and not attempt France as well.

As well as the one site I mentioned in your other thread you could spend a few days in the Picos mountains at Potes -  Camping la Viorna is popular but will be busy - or you could head west along the coast towards Gijon - in that area Camping Perlora near Candas might appeal.

    Enjoy your planning.
